    it's funny how exactly what i wrote about in my last entry happened.... well, because of my last entry.

    what's more important: that we're all over the place or that some tiny shred of truth is illuminated? nah, i don't care too much right now.

    but this is what i want to get across today... i hope everyone here knows how thankful we are for the SPIN cover. regardless of what MTV.com or any gossip column online is reporting. it reads like this "hayley is pissed at SPIN!" but it couldn't be any more wrong. my point was not to slash that article in particular or say that that opportunity wasn't worth it. because let me tell you, it was. everything i said had more to do with the fact that journalists IN GENERAL write more about the little things, that - to us - don't matter when you compare them to the messages in our music. we are beyond stoked that SPIN covered our band and i got to be on the cover. we've dreamed of this for years! i still stand firm in the fact that i don't really think many journalist will ever "get" what our band does on the road... but then again, why do i all the sudden care if people "get" me or not?

    the only people that really matter to us are you guys.

    so let's hear what you think!

critics,articles,magazines,interviews, it's all crap. it's also a good way to sucker people put of their money and beliefs. don't stress over it kid. no matter what, we all know that we can come to this website and really get the truth. your music speaks the truth and i love what you stand for. i myself went through a stage of cutting and depression, but i always knew i could turn your music on and escape from it all. sure we all make mistakes, but how would we ever learn? anyways, what i'm trying to say is, your real fans will stick with you and worship the ground you walk on no matter what, the fake fans will dump you for some lame article written by a devious journalist trying to pay his/her bills. we'll stand with you 'till the end. thats a promise

My husband surprised me with the Spin magazine one day, and I was so excited to read about you guys, it was my first official Paramore article, and I have to admit, it totally left me wanting. But I think you're right, that is what journalism is about, you see it in magazines, the news etc., they're not interested in the heart of the matter. I think that is why THIS place is so vital to your fans. Maybe not vital, but... important, for your "message" as well. We actually get to hear it from YOU. That's what we want. Not some writer's perception of who you are. I love that I can come here and get a peek into your heart and mind and see that you really are who I believe you to be!

I am someone who doesn't feed too much into the hype of magazine articles much these days. It seems like it's all consumer driven fabrications and embellishments that help sell more copies. People don't want to hear about what Paramore really is or what they mean to their fans, they want to hear about the neglect and abuse that isn't really there because it's what sells. I draw my conclusions from the personal journals, videos, and blogs posted on this site and twitter because it's coming from you. And to all of those fans who are mislead to believing that Paramore is something that they're not, believe none of what you hear and half of what you see.

Heeey Hayley, Read wht you wrote, and to be honest, those people are just making money with the shiz they write, i mean they take something little, and times it by 50 and make a load of crap up. so what i'd do, is take it on the chin. because they can say WHATEVER they like, because at the end of the day it doesn't make it the truth, just coz they say it. i think you amazing Paramore. and to be honest if i see an articla about paramore bein pissed at bands or hayley being preggo, i read it, and spend half an hour crying with laughter!!!! if anything like that does happen, i'd wait for You Guys to announce it soon, ooorr i'll never know, because i know how you guys like your privacy. and THATS why i'll never believe what articles say about you guys, coz if you wudnt tell your fans, why on gods earth would you tell them??? they do nothing but lie. so keep on rocking Paramore, can't wait to hear off you. Ok, first of all they may be a magazine, but not for being so they have to criticize and make BAD COMMENTS or over reacting things, and not writting things as they are guys, they are the ones.. i mean im just tottally dissapointed, QUE LES PASA?! EN SERIO.. Guys you shouldnt let what they say hurt you, your life is about jealous people because they cannot have fun like you have, DID YOU SEE THE FOOTPINTS on the pictures behind the secenes? the media just needs to stop and suck it!lol and they over exaggerate EVERYTHING, and they need to stop. i mean if your fans actually want to believe what the media is saying, then obviously someone needs to introduce this site to them. and dont worry, us fans wont get sucked in by what lies the media concurs. or makes up. they just need to shut it and let u speak and who cares! they dont need to get u. we get u:)

Everyone who reads an article about you guys has the right to know that you are not just one-dimensional "celebrities" that people only know about through things like press coverage. What should be written about in articles is that paramore.net and livejournal exist and that you use it to connect with your fans and are comepletely honest about yourself and give us an insight into your personality. What is never conveyed in these articles is that the fans know you. You let us know your feelings, and what is in your heart, and that makes you different from most other people in bands, or other famous people. You are people, not just media constructs that only show us their exterior. We know what's in your heart, because you share it with us. And we feel it when we come to a show. That's what makes your shows so different from others'. We come to a show and we feel like we are with friends and family, it's not just us gawping at you going "oh my gosh I'm in a room with a famous person!!" its a hell of a lot more than that. I probably haven't really put across what i'm trying to say very well, but basically it's that articles written about you only give a one-dimesional on-the-surface insight, which is just "they are a band and this is what they do on the road" and they never go into what you are actually like as people. That's why it's important that places like paramore.net and exist, because that's what give us a real insight into what your like as people. You guys are seriously amazing, honest people who wear your hearts on your sleeves and go out of your way to make sure that we know you, and that is very important. To us fans, your not just famous people in a band, you are real people with real feelings. Thankyou for just being who you are and playing honest music, and for not pretending to be something you aren't. You are the most amazing band in the world, and are all amazing people to look up to and aspire to. See you in London and Birmingham! Love always xxxxxx

I read the article the other day. I never read magazine articles, but I saw it was Paramore on the cover, so I picked it up. I liked it I guess. The way the article ended was cool. Do you guys pray before every show? "-What would I want to see written about you guys? Honestly I think someone who actually listens to and likes the band should write an article and tell people about how you guys wear your hearts on your sleeves in your music and what the band is really about versus what your tour bus smells like or what kind of cereal you like. Not that those aren't interesting things to hear about but I would rather hear about the meaning behind your songs and such than surface fluff that articles tend to stick to. Maybe you guys should just write a book." I agree with this. And the last part especially. A book would be great. I'd buy it.

Hayley, You said it yourself, who cares whether or not they get you? Because you have millions if not billions of fans who get you and get your music and what your about. As for the actual article it was a bit of a let down to be honest. I felt they didnt really capture Paramore, they just attempted to capture the idea of Paramore. You need to get a fan to interview you because they will have the questions and the knowledge about you guys to get you. i could be that fan, cough cough :) i want to see more about how the fame feels and how concerts feel, the buzz and being that stoked because im sure you are. I mean how does it feel to have 100,000 people look at you at the same time and every single one of them just want you to know them so desperately? Just feelings like that, if ya get me. Hayley, I just got the SPIN magazine 4 days ago to read on my trip back from Europe, and I must say I was kind of disappointed myself. I read through it, and thought to myself "ok....I already know all of this. I know they eat cereal, I know they are from Franklin, I know how they met each other, I know Hayley wears skinny jeans and hoodies..." because these are all things that any one who has read any article about you or seen The Final Riot dvd would know. I guess that information is cool for those who have maybe only heard a song from yall and never knew anything about you, but at the same time, people want to know about your music too, i mean that's the whole basis of SPIN magazine. I love reading journalists reactions when they get to spend a day with you as a band, but that should only be part of the articles. The bigger portion should be about the passion you have for the music you write and how that passion is clearly seen and felt by the audience at your shows. The love you have for your fans. The personal-feel of your shows, how you're not just singing to sing your songs and walk off with money, you're playing your songs to and for the crowd of fans and completely engaging them. You don't look into a crowd of unknown faces and sing your songs while at the same time thinking about what to do that night or where youre going next. You live in the moment of those shows, and fans walk away more in love with the band and your personalities which are seen through your music. You truly appreciate your fans, each and every one, and know that they are important. so, basically, I always love to read about you all as a band and as individuals and hear about what goes on behind the scenes. However, I do wish for everyone else's sake, that articles could portray your love and passion for music and for your fans because you are all so much more than young band members who eat cereal every day! I love you guys and your music so much!! See you in Raleigh!

Hey Paramore. Now, please please PLEASE tell me.. where to get the best (and only the best!) chinese food EVER. My friends and I have recently started.. um.. well this sort of bet thing to get celebs to tell us the best chinese resturants (i think thats how its spelled) in Aussie. We then go to those resturants and yeah it absolutely murders our savings, but we then take a vote at the end and decide who got the best suggestion. if that person is to win, they get $150 fuckers. Now please tell me so i can buy a tonne of band merch and a pizza! oh and your awesome. PEACE OUT!

Hey Hayley, let me start by sounding like another crazed fan. I absolutely adore you and the music you produce. I also really love the fact that you take time out to keep your fans updated with what's going on in your world. You truly are amazing. I had to hunt around to find the SPIN article online because they don't sell it in Australia, but I can definitely see what you're talking about. The article its self seems a little like a journal, with a few funny quotes and links to photos where of course, you look amazing. But I've found that in this article, it doesn't talk so much about what your music means, and who Paramore are as band nor as individuals. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed reading the article. It just seemed a little like they followed you around on the tour bus for a couple of days and took notes on everything that happened. To be honest, we find out what you're up to by your dedication to updating us here! Which I'm sure everyone will agree, we greatly appreciate and admire how down to earth you've proven to be. The sort of articles I enjoy reading regarding Paramore, or any other band, are not those such as this SPIN article, or the one which was in Kerrang! back in 2007. I love reading about who you are as people. Who you are as a band. What your music means to you. What messages you want to get across to your fans, or any other potential fans who are yet to discover the greatness which is Paramore. Because, unlike a lot of other bands, you're not superficial, and I love that you don't try to live up to what other people think you should be. Your music is straight from your hearts, to our hearts. One thing that gets to me about some people who write articles about you is that they constantly refer to some kind of 'teen angst', and whilst maybe you have a unique rock-type style, and sometimes songs that do display sadness, isn't that what music is about? Displaying all of life's different emotions? Sorry for the long reply. :P Much love, Taylor Paige
