we're at The Tonight Show!

i can't believe it. last time we were here (which was in New York, then) i was hoarse and sick with some kind of sinus infection and our band wasn't in the best of shape. this time, i am sick - again - with the same thing. hoarse and feeling a bit discouraged. BUT, as a band, we feel awesome. i'm so stoked to be playing this show and to get our tour kicked off this week. it's about time, right?

and with the record coming out, all the reviews have been piling up. we've never been that band. the one that gets the amazing reviews and that critics are stoked about. it's nice to have some of em on our side this time. i mean, if the entire world hated 'brand new eyes', we would still be stoked on it.. but like i said, it feels good that everything has been so positive.

what did you guys think of the MTV pieces we did back home? they were a lot of fun to shoot. obviously, it wasn't much work. we just did our thing and there were some cameras there. i got to show off my sick bike and my sweet car, Miss Anne. she's a looker. it was just nice to finally be able to show people who we are from a different angle. if anything, with the new album and all that it entails, people won't have much trouble understanding our band. after two records and hundreds of thousands of millions of miles, we're relaxing into whatever this could be becoming. i am enjoying the fact that it CAN actually be easy and entertaining to entertain other people. does that make sense? we've never lost passion for what we do but there was definitely a period of time where it was hard. this is a whole new game. and i love it. with all of it comes a little bit of new hair. only for a time. i'm tired of getting stuck in a corner... i'm excited to be nervous again about my hair. but anyways... new subject... until you all see it tonight. i wanted it to be a shocker anyways haha.

i gotta go! i just realized. time for hair and make up....

THE best.. i mean all ur albums are the best..oh cmon..theres no doubt abt it ^^.. hehe.. all my filipino frens and some of my indo frenz are hitting it off well with ur album..haha ( not those kind of dating frenzy)..and also are veryyyy excited abt ur show here in singapore^^

    haha i love you hayley and i really hope you get better. its terrible you being sick. you keep yourself rested you deserve it. totally diggin thee hair dude:) haha i wish you and the band luck on tour and you did great on the tonight show dont sweat it you always sound great no matter what. :)

    i hope you feel better hayley. U guys were great on the tonight show. the album is amazing, and you look great as usual. the hair is a little shocking, from going red to blonde, but you can pull off anything

    heyy hayley etc!! i luv ur stuff and if u dont come down under (2 australia) i will just have 2 come over 2 USA and spend all my money (which isnt all that much lol) 2 c u play bcoz u really r my life and 2 b quite honnest idk if i would b here with out u ur music and ur band so thank you from the bottom of my heart, ur quite literally are my own personal life savers!

    Hi Hayley! Brand New Eyes Rocks!!!! I love all except "Feeling Sorry". Misguided Ghosts and The Only Exception are so pretty! It really shows a different side of the band. I'm seeing you tomorrow in San Francisco-- SO EXCITED!!! I love you so much, can't wait!!! You guys are amazing and remember even in tough times, you guys have my support. ROCK ON!!!

    Would you ever consider putting out a CD of nothing but acoustic songs of yours? I like the way your voice sounds when you guys play acoustic. You sound exactly the same on your CD and live it's freaking cool.

    I loved you guys on MTV. I was laughing and smiling at some of the cool things you guys did and said...it was like I was there in Franklin with you all. That is really cool. Most bands or celebrities try to spice things up or do something fancy and it doesnt seem real. You guys were just you (going to the goodwill, hilarious) and that was awesome, you really made the audience seem welcome. I loved it, hope you do something like that again.

    WOW! I can't believe that "Brand New Eyes" is out. I hope you guys have a BLAST on your Tour. I am gonna go by your album now...Later.
