    We'd like to let Paramore fans know that yesterday the frivolous lawsuit claiming Paramore plagiarized another band's work regarding 'The Only Exception' was officially dropped. There was never a doubt in our minds that the case would go any further, as this song, which Paramore wrote every note of, is very personal to them and one they are extremely proud of.

Yes, "Starlighter" and "The Only Exception" are very similar songs with many similar chord progressions, there are a lot of differences as well, like the the vocal parts, speed, and placement. Of course, I can think of dozens of songs that could sound the same, but only if people obsess over it. This lawsuit was ridiculous and childish, obviously just for Tenspoke Indies to gain fame, and I'm glad it's over. Personally, I think Tenspoke Indies is a pretty good band on its own, and I'm disappointed that they would do something like this. I liked them before, but after discovering they were this immature, I might not listen to them as much. Anyway, I love Paramore and this song, and we all know they would never do such a thing. <3 =)

People are so pathetic for trying to get their names known. Instead of work hard for it they'd rather sue people & file lawsuits. Gosh, I'd love to be in musician's shoes, but I'd NEVER act like a total fool by suing my favorite bands, I'd rather work for it and be known for making music and pushing through the "Music Biz".

I can name 500 other songs that sound similar, someone just decided make a big deal about this one,(Ten Spoke Indies) by making in this a case a lawsuit. The Government doesn't have time to deal with petty lawsuits that have little to no evidence supporting their claim.

for those who don't know: the other band is named "Tenspoke Indies" with their song "Starlighter". there's already a youtube clip in which botch songs are compared (you can find it by tiping "The Only Exception VS Starlighter" in youtube). There are actually a lot of similarities esspecially when it comes to timings and such, but only if "The Only Exception" is slightly sped up. Some chords are also pretty much the same but, that of course can also be concidence or whatever. Well, just watch the video and build up your own opinion, but i dont feel like paramore stole anything from the other song, since the songs just sound kinda familiar and not really the same :)

I'm so glad this saga is finally over. It should never've started anyhow! It reminds me of the sad attacks against Avril Lavigne - they were all dropped as well. Sad how some people think they can shit all over other people's hard work...

I heard a slight resemblance between the two songs when i listened to them together but I'm certain that it was a coincidence. having a few notes the same does not constitute plagiarism otherwise pretty much every song released since about 1960 would be considered plagiarism lol

Anyone who would accuse Paramore of plagiarism needs to really get over evaluate their self, because the reason I have loved this band for 7 years is cause of authentic they are. They are one of the very few bands out now who doesn't rip off of other bands from the past, everything they do is 100% them all the way.
