i have seen the move. it was pretty good... but as for the world actually ending in 2012 i think thats silly... they have said the worlds going to end heaps of times... but we r still here.

Please they are all americans u don't think it's sospisious that no other country put a man on the moon or the fact u can see the guy taking the pic in the viser or the fact when the ship takes off there is no dust blown into the air/void of space or the fact that u can see the wiers and aperantly there is a ring of nuclear raditation around the moon how do u get past that?
The Mayan Calendar only points to an End in a cycle which falls in 2012. The long count calendar brings to an end a 5,126-year era which they had been tracking for obviously centuries.
The calendar then resets its count to 0. Which is why people think that the Mayans predicted the end of the world.
The interesting fact here is though modern science proves that
on the winter solstice in 2012, the sun will be aligned with the center of the Milky Way for the first time in about 26,000 years.
What that means is anyone's guess. But many scientists predict that it will be a period of increased sun spot activity which could scorch part of the earth.
Now that is scientifically possible no matter what the Mayans stated all those years ago.
2012 isnt when the world is gunna end it's when the mayan calander stopped because they couldnt keep recording that also said that about 1994 but you know what??? NOTHING!!!!

If a World War was to break out now, with the technology being so advanced I am pretty certain we will be wiped out or at least a good part of the world can be wiped out.
Ignoring that fact look at all the Atmospheric changes that we are seeing these days? Polar Caps Melting, Massive Storms, Changing Sea Currents, these are unprecedented events, and there are still people who dont believe in global warming.

It's a ridicules notion do u know how many times the end of the world has come about to my knoladge twice and this is the the third trust me u don't have to worry.
well I mean i actually had a talk about this in religion class. well its like i don't think that the world would end at that time. Cause in the Bible Jesus says that he doesn't even know when the world will end. God is the only one. So why would God let humans know? His own son doesn't know. So yea. It'll probably be like Y2K or 6-6-06 or something like that.
I just rememberd, i read that in a news paperlike, 6 years ago. There will be an asteroid passing by earth at that time, and it has a high rank on a scale of possibilty to hit (2%)

wow, interesting comments =D i saw the movie on dvd so it would have been less epic than at the cinema i'm pretty sure. the whole idea of the earth breaking up and stuff was interesting but yea i was surprised that guy survived so many close shots lol

With regards to the Movie, I loved it, it was a blockbuster movie and it wasn't pretending to be anything else.
You wanted to see the world end and you saw it. Continents sinking, Tsunami's higher than 10KM, what more do you want to be entertained !??!
I don't think anyone can really say they weren't entertained by that movie or maybe you can, who knows.
I doubt the world will end in 2012, but clearly its not impossible.

2012 was only made to scare the crap out of people. There were so many other times we were supposedly going to die. But it never happened. And the other day in school we had to watch a movie about the Mayans. It said that they would get high while they made the calander. Yeah I'm really going to believe something that was predicted by a bunch of druggies.
