Hey guys, so I was just wondering if you guys think I'm a true Paramore fan. I started listening to Paramore in November 2009, and I only own BNE, and I have all their songs on my i-pod. So even though I became a fan in November and a lot of people have been fans since AWKIF, does that still make me a true fan?

Sure. In fact, we have pretty much the same situation. i only own bne, i have all the songs on my ipod, but i became a fant through twilight. hahah

If you like Paramore enough, than you are a fan. You don't gotta be like Matt, myself and overly obssesed people. (I have a wall dedicated to them with a framed t-shirt thats super worn with a few holes, posters and paramore-related schutff.)
But how long you know them does not make you a fan. I heard about them towards the end end of AWKIF, right before Riot! was released. I consider myself a fan though I've never been to a live show yet due to my never ending broke-ness. I dunno if thats a word but whatev.
i've only been listening to,them since sept, ans i consider myself " a true fan". just 'cuz your a newer fan and only have bne, it still makes you a " true" paramore fan. if you love paramore enough to buy all there songs on itunes and join a online community about them there should be no one saying that your not. :)

There's no such thing as a 'true' fan, if you like paramore, then of course you're a fan, and you're just as much a fan as someone who has know them since AWKIF or whatever :)

Duh, ofcourse you're a true fan, I've only been there fan for over a year now! If you're not a fan for that long does;nt mean you're not a reak fan!

No, you're not. Try liking them since day one, owning all their albums, going to over 30 gigs and playing all their songs over 1500 times. I can play every songs on guitar and any other instrument they play on. I have all the records and my entire bedroom wall is covered in practically every poster/button/sticker/magazine article they've ever done. Don't call yourself a fan, you embarress people like me.

I bought Riot first and loved it so I bought AWKIF and have never looked back.

well, being a fan of Paramore does not depend on how long you've known them, how many albums you have, how many songs you have on your i-pod or things like those.
Being a fan of Paramore means loving them, loving their songs and supporting the bands all throughout. Being a fan means you're always there for them. Being a fan means liking the band.
Besides,there aren't any standards or tests to pass so that you'll know you're a Paramore fan.

You like Paramore, therefore you're a fan.
Just because you've not known them for as long as someone who has been listening to them since All We Know Is Falling, doesn't mean you like them any more or any less, or in any other way. Ignore anyone else that tells you otherwise.
i hate this whole true fan- fake fan thing. if you have their songs, you know them and you like them, you're a fan. a real one.
if you don't know every single song ever made but you still love the ones you have, you're a fan.
if you only heard two songs and never bothered to know more about them, you just like them. you're not a fan.
and hell, even if you heard about paramore yesterday but you still love them and what they do, you're a fan.

Only you can tell if you're a true Paramore fan - it depends you consider to be the definition of a "true" Paramore fan.
For example, i've been listening to Paramore since AWKIF but i'm sure that people who heard about Paramore from, for example, Brand New Eyes, will appreciate and adore their music just as much as I do.
Being a true Paramore fan isn't about when you first heard of the band, how many concerts you've been to or how much merchandise you own. It's about how the music makes you feel. If you respect the band, appreciate their talent and enjoy your songs then, yeah, you're a true Paramore fan. But only you, yourself, will know that :)
(I know that I waffled a lot. I have a habit a doing that :P)
