    What your favorite book? Any of you reading a book at the moment? Hate a book? or recommend a book?

    Fav: The Hunger Games Series, Vampire Academy Series, and Unwind

    Dislike: The Twilight Series and Torment by Lauren Kate (Hi there Bella Swan v2.0!)

    Recommend: The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, Night by Elie Wiesel, and Anthem Ayn Rand.

    Currently Reading: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson

    Also, rant about how movies based on books suck. (sometimes) EX: Percy Jackson!

    Watched the movie first I liked it then read the book I totally hated the movie. IT SUCKS.

    I'm excited that The Hunger Games and the Mortal Instruments are going to be a movie. :)

Love the Percy Jackson series ( dont hate the movie but does not compare to the books) , Heros of Olympus (is the sequal series to Percy Jackson) by Rick Riordan, The Saga of Darren Shan by Darren Shan, Skulduggery Pleasant series by Derek Landy and anything by Michael Morpurgo.

I would recommend all the above!!

I love books so much! I had 9 with me on holiday this summer.
Likes: The Time Travellers Wife (confusing and so sad, but amazing!), Water For Elephants (amazing!), Nobody Likes You: The Music, Life and Turbulent Times Of Green Day (Recommend to any Green Day fan!) Rockaholic (because I know some people who want to kidnap rockstars) and The Pursuit Of Happiness by Tara Altebrando (a definite for anybody)

I also love Nicholas Sparks' books and Tess Stimsons. They are both such incredible writers. Want to check out some more people to widen the horizons like Stephen King (I've heard he's amazing)- any suggestions?

I just read 'Hunting Lila' by Sarah Alderson, and I really enjoyed it. If anyones read 'The Medusa Project' series by Sophie Mckenzie, its very similar to that.

The Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness is also a good read, but takes a while to get into. And Candor, by Pam Bachorz.

I like a lot of different books and I tend to have to get new ones every couple of days or I go insane. I also like re-reading my books and at the moment I'm re-reading the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series by Laurel K. Halmilton.

myheartisyours: At first I didn't like it because it was different than what I usually read. I'm almost to the end I find it pretty good, I have about 30 pages to go to finish the book.

Thank you!! Pokemon is the best!

sockpuppy: I know! I'm so excited, I think they'll do a good job on the movie.

@Alicia In Wonderland
I saw that you said you were reading Girl With the Dragon Tattoo? I've read 100ish pages and so far so good! I got it for my boyfriend for Christmas last year and he highly recommended it to me so I thought I would try it. What did you think of it? Is it worth the the time?

Oh and I love your picture btw! Pokemon FTW! :D

Cinnamoroll: I like barnes & nobles more anyway. I can't wait to go this week to borders to buy books.

I tried to read Delirium but I couldn't. I didn't pass chapter 2 of the book.

@Alicia In Wonderland
Lol it's ok, I thought the exact same thing. At least we still have Barnes & Nobles :)

The Harry Potter series is definitely a favorite of mine. I'm currently rereading it now. I'm also into those future sci-fi books like Uglies. If you like those kinds of books I would definitely recommend Delirium by Lauren Oliver. It's a great book.

So I was upset when Borders announced that they were closing but I couldn't help but think "CLEARANCE SALE!! :D MORE BOOKS FOR LESS"

I'm such a bad person.

music|ADHD: Out of a 10, I'll give it an 8. Be warned there is some nakedness in that book. lol.

Scenerocks4jc: I love the mortal instruments series! It going to turned into a movie. They already have clary and jace cast.

SmileAtMe's picture

Im currently reading the Obernewtyn series (book 3) by Isobelle Carmody. It's really addictive!

Scenerocks4jc's picture

i also am reading the mortal instruments series...
for non-fiction, more realistic, i suggest the kite runner
and i am also reading a christian book called left behind(which is not and example of a good book turned into a bad movie)
-very good movie!!

You should check out The Darkest Powers Series by Kelly Armstrong :)

I just read Witch and Wizard. Not a very good book. It had a creative idea to it, but it was written poorly, I think.

@Alicia in Wonderland

What would you rate water for elephants? (the fact that it's a romance already has me intrigued. :D)

Favs: Twilight Saga (Yeah, I know. Not the best written material out there, but I'm a hopeless romantic.) Harry Potter was a favorite of mine but there are some people who have ruined the magic for me. I don't get excited about it as much as I used to. But I'm in the process of finally reading the last installment.
Pretty Little Liars: soooo much better than the show. Oh, and the perfect chemistry series.

In process: Chronicles of Narnia, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, The looking glass wars, HP & the deathly hallows.

Dislike: Books that don't seem to go anywhere plot-wise.

Movies: I'm beginning to have a problem with movies based from books. I feel like I enjoyed both the twilight saga & HP more when they weren't movies. The movies are great, buuuut all the extra nonsense? Not so much. Movies turn books into fads.
