The Lovely Bones (Book is a lot better than the movie)
The Twilight Saga (obvs!)
The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare - there is a trilogy
We Need To Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver - tough going, but it is a great book. It took me about ten chapters to get into it, it doesn't grab instantly but it is brilliant.
Anything by Jodi Picoult - if I had to pick just one to start off it would be Perfect Match or The Pact.
This is an adventure/horror book about zombies(:
It's called Monster Island, one of the best books Iv'e ever read.
There are two others, Monster Nation, and Monster Planet.
But the BEST book I have read is called The Forest Of Hands and Teeth. I couldn't put it down! It was like I was under a spell!
It's also about zombies. But it has some romance, and adventure, you'd have to read it to understand.. But I recommend The Forest Of Hands and Teeth the most, and the second book is called The Dead-Tossed Waves.
Another good series is the Mortal Instruments series. Has to do with "Shadow Hunters" and demons and self discovery, forbidden love, and all kinds of that stuff, in a modern world setting. Very interesting, a friend of mine turned me on to it :)
Definitely the Vampire Chronicles and Mayfair Witches series by: Anne Rice. If you're a "light reader," it's probably not for you, because she writes about every, single, small, insignificant, detail. But if you really get into stories like I do, that's what makes it so beautiful. Not to mention the stories themselves are just simply out of this world. My personal favorites are Queen of the Damned, Blackwood Farm, Merrick, Memnoch The Devil, and Blood and gold....though you do kind of have to read the first books in the series (Queen of the Damned is the third) to really get where the rest of them are coming from when it comes to the characters.
if you like adventure books you have to read The Chronicles Of Narnia those books are incredible, and if you want to read something like non-fiction i recommend you The Secret Life Of Bees it's such a beautiful book.
The Gemma Doyle series is amazing.
It's a combo of fantasy, fiction and a tad sci-fi.
Its mega great, the first book is called A Great and Terrible Beauty. :)
Well, can't really help you there - can't seem to come up with anything (Reading Dan Abnett's Warhammer 40K Gaunt's Ghosts series at the moment, if you want to know - hey, that reminds me, I gotta update my Profile).
Hey. For Fantasy i would suggest Kate Forsyth( The Witches of Eileanan and Rhiannon's Ride series), Sara Douglass( too many books to list) and the Harry Potter series ( if you haven't already read them) For fiction i would suggest Nicholas Sparks if you like romance( The Notebook, Dear John, True Believer). The Time Traveller's Wife is terrific, a mix between sci fi and romance, though mostly romance. I'm not really a non fiction fan so i can't help you there. Mystery- have you tried Dan Brown?Hope that helps. :)
The House of Night Series by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast

The Mercy Thompson Series by Patricia Briggs
The Jill Kismet Series By Lilith Saintcrow

Um...
What kinds of book suggestions? What kind of book are we talking here? Nonfiction? Fiction?
And then the genre. Fantasy? Sci-Fi? Adventure?
I might seem like I'm taking the piss outta you, but this is serious - you want us to give book ideas with no particular direction in mind, 'sall.
