I indeed have braces. ugh just got them on and i have to have them for two more years i think... depending. My braces dont hurt, at all, they never did; but, some of my friends did some didn't. I think it depends on how sensitive your teeth/gums are and your ortho. in the long run yes i deff think they are worth it. even if they end up hurting it is way worth it for straight teeth.

well if your dentist says you need them. get them. i think braces are so hot on girls!

i had braces for two years...just got them off a month ago. I didnt really need them on the top, but got them anyway. it didn't really hurt at all. What hurt more was when they were sawing the adhesive off after they removed the braces. The braces where more- so annoying than anything else. I guess it's worth it in the longrun to get them, especially while you're young

Short term pain for long term game! I had braces for about a year and a half 6 months ago and yeah they were painful and really annoying, but with good results!

I havent gotten then yet, but I do really need them because I do have an over bite and my teeth are crooked, but my friend catie says they hurt, and for either over or under bites, in the last few months you have them you have to wear rubber bands, she says its a pain because you have to take the bands out when you eat and replace them and all, so yea.

i have braces at the moment and when you first get them on, it hurts to eat solid food for about a week, maybe over, and i have to get mine tightened every six weeks and it kinda hurts then, but not so bad. i have bands too, and they are rubber bands that attach to them that some people need and they can cause soreness. but otherwise, the only other problem is getting food in them but it isn't too big of a problem if you brush alot.

i have braces right now, and they don't hurt too much. when you first get them tightened, they are pretty sensitive but otherwise they are not that painful. i definitely think it's worth it, because i've only had mine a few months, and i already notice my teeth getting straighter.

Yeah, I used to have braces cuz I had a huge gap between my front teeth. I only had them for about a year but they were totally worth it. They actually don't hurt too much if you have a good orthodontist, just during a few days after you get them tightened.

i got braces two weeks ago it just hurts the first couple of days and you can eat certain foods or sodas or gum(i still do haha)
youll get used to them if you do get them. they are worth it
my sister had braces for 3 years when she was little now are teeth are amazing like gorgeous lol

so yea its worth it

Breanne_mm's picture

Braces are definitely worth it! Yeah, so it hurts sometimes, but not that bad, and your teeth will look so beautiful when you get them off, which is the whole point, right? I had them for 2 years from 6th to 8th grade, and I can barely remember it now. It goes by fast :)

I've had braces and my teeth are realy straight. They are definetly worth it, they hurt for a bit after they're put on and when they're tightened but you get used to it. They are something worth considering :)

Alex V.'s picture

Yes they're worth it (money, not pain, cause they don't hurt at all)
Well it depends, if your dentist knows how to do it, mine is awesome (it's my dad :D)
