I've looked on all kinds of website and it says nothign about cameras:/

At the Feb concerts i brought a HD camera and got it taken of me half way through the concert, and i don't really want that to happen again.

So (: I was wondering if anyone knows what kind or if you are even allowed to bring cameras to the Sidney Myer Music Bowl??? And if you are allowed professional camera/recorders (:

    Shezza, Thanks (: (:

P.s. If anyone knows anything about parking that would be a lot of help as well, thanks (:

i reckon they'd let you have normal digital cameras just no professional ones.
at fest hall i had to hide mine in my bra and still got full frisked by a chick for it :S stupid coz there was still heaps when i was in there and mine didnt get taken away luckily!!

oh and you could always try the art centre car park?

No cameras permitted at all. Bugger, whos down for shoving camera in bra or underwear ;)
Haha i know people that did that for the festival hall concert and worked a treat althought there will be so many cameras and stuff i dont see why would take it off a couple of us when theres going tobe massive amounts of them. But still im bringing two, incase one runs outs of batteries haha

im still taking mine, i know other places ive been to said NO to all cameras lol, but i still took it in and they checked my bad and everything and it was fine.. just dont make it obvious if youre recording something :)
and im sure with all the lights they wont even tell if a flash goes off haha
and no problems

i'm pretty sure they'll be allowed. @melaniesays, thanks for that info :)

I just called the arts centre, and the lady sais they are not permitted but she said its fine with camera phones, which I don't see a differnce in. Just bring your camera, and take photos when no one is looking :)

well, i guess that they allow us to use digital camera and may be with the flash on. (you can also use it as recorder)

but im pretty sure that they dont allow us to use professional camera.

'"What shouldn't I bring?

There are a number of items that patrons are not permitted to bring to the venue. These include and are not limited to alcohol, elevated and high-backed seating, breakable drinking glasses, glass bottles, open soft drink containers, hard-sided hampers, coolers and eskies, video cameras, animals (except Seeing Eye Dogs), any item which may impede other people's enjoyment of the show or deemed dangerous.

Please ask the Arts Centre about conditions of entry at time of purchase. Also note, security will conduct entry checks and items which are not permitted will need to be disposed of or be kept in the cloak room and returned to patrons on exit.

Important: Please also note that opened bottles will be confiscated and that flash photography and video taping the show is not permitted. The use of cameras is permitted.

If you have any further questions about conditions of entry, please ask the Arts Centre at time of purchase."

but it doesnt say what type of camera.. just that no flash or recording... it could also be different for concerts though :S
hope i helped a bit! lol, id also like to know

Well I'm just bring a small camera. It's always a good idea to bring one just in case. But I would recommend not bringing a professional camera or a video camera/recorder.

Did you get your camera back??
