people are so jealous! because gay/lesbian have the guts to come up and say they are gay/lesbian/bisexual. i've no problem with them, they are so friendly! so should we be to ANYONE!

Hayley was VERY right! I'm not Christian, but I share many Christian beliefs, AND guess what, I'm all for people being gay! She's awesome for standing up for them!

i think It's funny what Hayley said cause, by calling out judgemental people she herself is judging lol i dont think she was right in saying that. And i dont believe in peoples choice, or gays choice, i believe in God's choice and he says one man, and one woman.
i dont necessarily believe hayley intended this to be an "i support gay rights" post. more on the lines of saying, "I'm not gonna judge them..." which is completely right. I'm a strong christian and I believe that as a christian, I'm not supposed to condemn the person, but rather the practice. do i believe homosexuality is a sin? to be blunt - yes. but God loves EVERYONE. and He wants us to remove ourselves from sinful activities so we can be closer to Him. were all human, so were still gonna sin... but we can do our best not to.
My opinion on this is: Christian beliefs should be put together with the rights of EVERY KIND OF PERSON, no matter his/her sexual preferences, BUT, the Bible (the book of christian people) teaches that homosexuality is not a "right" way of life. Anyway, I guess that every christian should (as Hayley says), respect gay men and women, even if they doesn't approve that lifestyle, they are persons! (sorry for my bad english)
No,I wouldn't say Christain beliefs should be put together with gay rights. I mean,it would be such a rapid change,and it would make major conflict between everything. Plus,you can't just suddenly change a religion's belief. And I agree 100% with Hayley's post. I'm a Christian too,and I agree that some people are WAY too serious about it all.

Okey, I'm kind of confused :s. Do you mean this part "The only answer is to remove yourself from the planet because you can't handle existing."? If it's that, well, in some sense you're right. But according to what I believe and feel in my whole being there's actually no true happyness given only by this world, that is, without God's presence on it. You are wrong when saying that God isn't in this planet as we believe that in fact each baptised one is a living sactuary of God, so He is here.
So yes, without God I couldn't be happy, but there's absolutely no way in wich He wouldn't be.

Then it's a good thing that God loves us all and won't just stop loving us.True, He isn't visible here, so to show our love for Him we try loving what He loves most, and that, in our world, is us, humans. So in that aspect, we're really not that different.
Then there's the whole issue about God's humanity, but since that is reallt complicated to even try to explain, I won't (and this wouldn't be the proper post to do so, either way). Let's just say that we catholics believe in Jesus as true God and man, wich means He did suffer and else and that He came here and was even tempted as any man just out of the love He held for us.
Gay people never look at straight people and go... Lets hate them they're straight! So why should people do that to Gays?!

The difference between you and I is that I put humans first no matter what. We hurt. We feel pain and sometimes it can be so excruciating that you can't deal with it anymore. The only answer is to remove yourself from the planet because you can't handle existing.
I'd do anything I could for them to help ease their pain. If God told you to ignore them you would. I wouldn't.
People are on this planet. God is not. I am human, so I can empathise with their pain. God is not. He's almighty and amazing so anything he needs he can get. Not from me if another person is suffering from it.

I think that people should be allowed to love anyone they want. Love doesn't look for gender. If someone falls for someone of their same sex. He/She should feel free to love him/her and NO ONE should get in the middle of it :)

I'd be so very wrong to say I understand the Bible that much and also if I'd say that I'm some kind of 'perfect' chrisitian wich I'm certainly not. And I don't do this things just because I'm told to do so, I do understand them not only by faith but by reason.
But yes, I have not one regret to admit that I'd try to put any human and any worldly gain in second place if by doing so I'm serving God, wich does not justify (beacause is against Him) marginating anyone.
Our differences to understand each other is simply (I think) the fact that you don't seem to believe our complete and real happines is found only in God. And I believe you wouldn't even put humans in first place if it'd mean a great sacrifice to nature (that's just an assumption, and I hope I'm wrong).

What you basically just said is that you rule the bible over living people and you're perfectly happy to interfere in other people's lives because you think it's right.
I LOVE those who believe in god and who can also say "I don't understand why he'd want this but maybe he'll explain one day. I won't make thousands of people unhappy by voting against their marriage just because I can and I'm being "told" to."
I like those who don't "understand" your religion more than I will EVER EVER like those who do.

My family is christian, and they are all incredibly open minded, I'm bi myself, and I've been surrounded by gay people my entire life, but no that has not influenced me as my brother is not gay, neither is my best friend or anyone else I know of at the moment. Being gay is just as normal as being straight, love is love and that is that!
Okey, this'll be the last time I try explaining the same thing.
God does loves us all. The thing is, God loves even Hitler, Bin Laden and Jack The Reaper and else. So the thing is not whether He loves us or not, but if WE love Him back. Obviously, it's not our place to marginate any person, in fact we are to love them as much as Christ himself loves us. But there's the very catch: if honestly love someone, then you wish whatever is best to that loved one and to a chrisitan, the best thing is God Himself. How do you show love? By being as much as you can as the loved one and we christians take 'use' the Bible as a kind of 'manual' in order to do so.
Yes, it's wrong to marginate any kind of person, but we chrisitians can't claim to love a person and at the same time allowing that person to continue to love himself or another person more that God.

Personally i think its flat out RUDE the way people just insult and shun out Gay people. I am a christian and i go to church every sunday. My Dad dislikes gay people and i think its awful. theyre people too. And if God hates Gay people then why does it say in the Bible everyone is equal in the eyes of God. and personally i think Hayley is pretty damn right.
I'm catholic, and my church will tend to shun out gay people. I admire gay people's courage. They aren't ashamed to be themselves like many of us are. People need to except them. A kid at my school was about to get beat up for it and I stood up and defended him. I think they should be able to get married and live their lives together, knowing that they are bonded legally. And if god hates gays soooo freaking much why does the bible say, "Love thy neighbor" and "Everyone is equal in the eyes of god."
okay i think its dumb im a Christian. and i think that gays should be able to be gay in the bible the commandment is love thy neighbor as thy self, what if my neighbor is gay? or lesbian? so i dont get that and i think gays should be able to get married and Christians should except it. if straight people who arent Christian can be happy why cant gay people?

my big question with this whole "God hates gays" and "Homo Sexuality is a sin" debate is if god hated gays so damn much then why did he make them? people just have there minds full of what other people tell them. do you think that any of them have actually asked god in person if he hated gays? no so what do they Know? im bisexual myself and it pisses me off when people say shit like "youre going to hell because you like the same sex" it is like people are putting words in gods mouth. even if its in the bible no one knows for absolute sure that it is 100% legit people will believe any thing. just because harry potter can fly away on a broomstick in a book doesnt mean that i can do it too! see my point?
