So, I was on the news section of the Kerrang! website, when I saw some disscusions about Paramore.
Obviously, people said bad things about them. I got angry. I replied with what I still think was a witty, and clever response. People reacted to what I said, so I put more comments in.
Do you think they were stupid of me? Do I sound like a total idiot in them? I love Paramore, and wanted to defend them, by making the haters look stupid.
So, do you think it was a waste of time? Do I just sound stupid in the end?

i mean, that article there is about paramore selling out 15k cap arenas and stuff right, thats tens of thousands of people in the UK alone who like paramore and are willing to spend money on tickets.. a few haters cant do anything
+ corey taylor of slipknot listens to stuff other than crazy thrash/heavy metal, he's got justin timberlake on his ipod...so yea those hopefully those clowns will open up their ears some day and learn to appreciate other genres

I started a discussion just like this asking if I was weird because i get really angry and defensive reading those comments about Paramore. It put be in such a bad mood! There arguing back with main stream examples, there not as hard core as they think they are. In fact, they are quite deluded if they believe that heavier bands fill out larger arenas better.
Most people who comment on, or even read, Kerrang, only know what Kerrang tells them about music. They know nothing, they are just spoon fed.
Your arguments were very well thought out, I could relate to what you were saying a lot. You have some very good ideals which you might struggle to find in other people. You should feel good for what you stand for, and how you portray your self. You might have taken it a bit too far in the last two or so comments :P it's not worth saying stuff like the last comment you made, simply because it might just give them satisfaction, if not anything else.
Kerrang isn't the be all and end all...the underground scene in general is a lot more...relaxed? Mainstream stuff is always bloody.
P.S You will never win an argument with a thrash metal fan. Ever...but they are good to stand next to at gigs because no one will mess with them.

I think it wasn't stupid that you defended the people and the band you love. However, I know that those people are just there to start a fight. That fighting will frustrate us Paramore fans, but the guy who started it (Matt, I believe?) is just laughing and having a blast. Defending something/someone you love is never bad. I just don't believe you will ever be able to win a fight like this. It's kind of like a hype to hate on Paramore. People don't even know them, but they'll follow the hype, which is sad. Remember a year or two back when the whole world was against MCR? Yeah, same thing. All we can do is stick by them and show them that they ARE great and that they DO deserve to be where they are right now.
