All of you who are unable to accept this NEED to realise that Paramore did not in any way HAVE to tell you the truth. You got into the band for the songs and possibly the image they portray. You gradually learned about them. You didn't get into the band for how and when they met, so that information is completely irrelevent.
We have the truth now. What you can either do is accept it as what happened or leave Paramore and never look back.
If you consider yourself a true fan then I'm going to have to say that you SHOULD (yes, should) be over it, or be in the process of getting over it. Paramore are a band still.

Yes, we were lied to. Paramore was controlled by Atlantic Records and we had no idea.

Basically? If you dont like Paramore anymore or feel lied to or feel the inclination to post a bullshit topic about them splitting up or it being the "end" of the band or whatever, then please, feel free to leave.

they WERE friends. For a long time. Josh mightn't have been happy with the original situation but it DID get better. The videos you can find all over youtube prove that 100%. Josh and Hayley having a laugh together, as friends. The only thing that has changed is that we know that Atlantic Records approached Hayley, wanted her in the band, allowed Josh and Zac and Jeremy in the band and then eventually Taylor. That's pretty much it. Really, all the blog actually said. It just sounded harsher than that.

@Matt: On that other topic of editing headings/title (on another thread), let me explain. A large part of my work (i.e. at my job) is studying how people use web sites and mobile. Something I see repeatedly is that most visitors on any site are oblivious to the history of a site, the past conversations on it -- even the comments on a forum topic. So, infrequent visitors will see a misleading heading (like one that says "breakup") and read no further. Or, if they do read further and read a misleading first post that was later corrected in the comments -- they will take the initial post as gospel and not read the comments. So, when somebody corrects something in their *own post* via a comment -- but lets the original post and title stand -- it's about as bad as not posting a correcting comment at all.
The person could delete the comment, of course, but they probably would be more inclined to modify it with a correction or summary. In the early days of the Internet it was actually common to have forum owners come back later and post a summary of wisdom from heavily commented topics after a few days of conversation. That was a good convention that fell away, but it's kind of what I am suggesting.
(BTW I didn't want to post this note on the inaccurate entry so as not to bump it to higher standing in the queue.)

I completely agree. I was a little taken aback at first, and bummed out and everything cause their music means a lot to me. More than anything i was sad that they left on 'less than great' terms. But Paramore will still be Paramore. It will still be a band, they will still make music.

This is jokes!! You are one funny dude, i have to agree in part with what your saying, its not asif paramore jumped into a plane and died, the band are still together(kinda) and still willing to entertain us, and, for me, thats whats best.
The new band members will bring new ideas and techniques to give paramore an interesting new sound(hopefully) and at least everyones happier, right?
So just chill, Get a grip, and think about the music!!
i kind of agree with this. this isn't the first time Paramore has lost band members. does anyone remember Hunter Lamb? and what did they do in that situation? they informed us of what was going on (like they have with the farro sit.) and they found a new member and went on to continue playing and gaining more fans. that's what's going to happen here.
as far as being "lied to" go look up your other favorite bands, and try to dig up info on their label contracts and all that, because i guarantee there's just as much stuff like this. we weren't lied to. the label's have to cover their asses people.

I have to agree again Matt. I mean, I didn't believe at first when I heard about the blog, or video, and still don't believe some parts, as I think the blog was kinda revenge in a way. But people have to get over this. Paramore is still a band, changing albeit, but still a band non the less.
If you like them in the future with the upcoming album, then fine. If you don't, then you still have, what, 6-7 years of music and memories to cherish of them.
i seem to have the same view as a few others. i have nothing against the farros or rest of Paramore (which i'll still be absolutley going balistic at next time they're in aus =D ). but i swear to go, i just wanna punch those F***ING label execs in the face. with my band trying to get signed, this is really sucky thinking about going through all this as well.
that's my rant anyway - labels are douches!
thank you!!!!!!!!! people on this site aren't very good at handling bad news. ok so we were lied to about the atlantic thing, josh and zac are leaving, but you don't need to be all "the world is ending there's no more paramore." well as hayley said on twitter "paramore is (still) a band" josh and zac left. that's it. as you can see from recent pics and jeremy's blog post, paramore is still in fact a band.
i just read the blog 30 min ago (yea ik slow...) so i think i can still be in cryin mode till an hour after i wake up. night people. but im still going to stick my the band, as a true fan

i agree with you. when you first fall in love with a band, it is usually because of their music. not because you are interested in their personal lives and decisions. There is nothing wrong with loving the people in the band, but that should never get in the way of your love for their music.
I absalutely love how most of the people on here who are saying I totally agree and I know right? were also complaining about it and freaking over it. :)

I guess it was shocking for some people and they were just in the moment to cry and whine about it. Well, all we can do now is support the band like we always have and wait for what's in store.
