ok so im sure most of you have seen previous descussions on "the twilight/decode/paramore fans" and how "they only know paramore just because of twilight" and "how they're not true fans"
well i think that the people who believe that need to have their heads checked(no offence if you believe that) but seriously, why spend your time on this giving out about them when you could be educating them on paramore history, how will they learn if no one teaches them?
ok the "paramore/decode/twilight fans" i know are all (assumtion) 12 or 13 (sorry but the next part is an assumtion aswell so my apologies in advace) and they annoy me SO MUCH! when they rave about paramore being a NEW band and how much they love them, well one day it drove me so mad that i yelled at them and told them the history of paramore, now the're all going to see them in dublin with me and i can safely say they know their stuff now
so you see, educate the people and they will be your friends!!!

and i really dont like people who say I LOVE PARAMORE! THEY ARE SO AMAZING! when they have only heard decode from twilight. they should check out paramore songs, before they became paramore, josh and hayley dating, demos and other stuff. i understand if you like a song and thats it, but when you say lies and say your a really big fan, its bugs the shit out of everyone who were fans from AWKIF and riot.
okk, im only eleven but i liked paramore when misery business was out, so about 2007. it bothers me how other people who are like 20 hate the younger kids who like paramore, and they annoy them. well what does age do? music makes the world go round, but i dont think that really is true right noww...
*sigh* i thought everyone had settled this. if a band is on the soundtrack for a big movie like Twilight, people are gonna like them! if they say they are fans, but they've only heard Decode, well great for them. i'm sure most of us called ourselves fans when we first heard one of Paramore's songs, so who cares if it was on the Twilight soundtrack or not? if they're real fans, they'll listen to more of Paramore's songs. if not, then they'll get over it.

Some times people find out about bands in different ways. I knew about paramore a couple of years before i even read twilight. And i must say, i was extremmly happy when i heard they where going to do the song for twilight. I prefered the books but i love the song decode.
I hadn't even heard of Twilight until summer '09 (i have no idea how i managed that lol) but then i read all the books THEN saw the film - not a huge fan of the films tbh....anyway then i was looking at the soundtrack and saw Paramore's name on there, i liked their music and so i went and bought AWKIF and then RIOT!.....and it was the BEST choice i ever made because i LOVE LOVE LOVE them (to the point where i irritate my friends with my obsession lol)
I am not any less of a fan than other people who knew about them before and it upsets me when people say that.
I started from Decode by I did exactly what @Para-Anna said. After I heard the song I looked them up. I liked their other music a lot. So I got All We Know Is Falling and Riot. I don't like Paramore because I'm a Twilight freak. I like them for their music. So don't go knocking on all people who started liking Paramore after Twilight. Because not all of us are crazed fans who only like one song. I love all of their cds and know a lot about them now. Just thought I'd put my opinion out there.
well Hayley likes the books... she said the films were boring. I don't think people should complain because their amazing songs gained a new horde of fans... surely we should be glad that there are more Paramore lovers to welcome to the group? I admit it's annoying when people claim to be huge fans and have only heard ''Decode'', but advise them to listen to the other songs on their albums and they could soon be as big a fan as you.
i guess i sorta heard about them through twilight but it was like 4 months after twilight then 1 day i heard a paramore song and said "ok i like paramore!"then i did my research and found out even more songs and now i love them to death.i dont like decode that much i really like i caught myself but those are at the bottom of my list.so sorta i found out paramore by twilight but im not those dummys who think they're such paramore fans and they only like i caught myself and decode,but im not saying im the biggest fan ever.if you can understand that i know its confusing.
I agree with mike, they aren't music giants.
All I ask is that the people who discovered Paramore through Twilight not call themselves Paramore's biggest fans (because you're not a biggest fan if all you like are two songs, ex: Decode and I Caught Myself). If they like Paramore, cool, then they should go check out the rest of their songs (AWKIF, Riot!, and now BNE) and not simply sit and gush about how they're Paramore's biggest fans ever. Love and discover. :D
i dont like how people associate Robert Pattinson with Twilight when he was better in Harry Potter.
You've gotta live with it dude, and paramore being the twilight band (as in twilight the first film, not the rest) isn't bad cause paramore LOVE twilight whether you do or not. Hayley does at least.
paramore are amazing no matter what people say, i just dont like how people ACCOSIATE paramore with twilight, thats what bugs me, not the fact that they have new fans BECAUSE of twilight
