Everyone can type/text/talk how they like. I prefer grammatically correct and appropriate punctuation, but then again I was an English Literature student.
@the one who starts riots - in future you might want to be careful with your text speak though. For example, while I know you meant "important" in your comment, you actually used the word "impotent" which has a whole other meaning.

I had to get someone to come translate what you were saying.
I don't read "u" as "you" because I'm rather normal and type like a human so that's why.
It's the middle of 2010, text speak was so 2004. We don't need to do it anymore, besides, most people now use full english more than text speak. Look around the topics, the number of people that type like you do are SO slim it's stupid to consider it.
Computers are the way forward, so typing like a regular human is pretty much neccesary.
I work on a till and still have to use a keyboard, if I typed like you then I'd have no practice in typing like this making my job a whole lot harder.
I type like this faster than I would if i was saying "hi, how r u?" That actually took a stupid amount of time to type D:

Yes, of course you can type however you want. Its perfectly legal to type in 'txt language' but it annoys alot of people like myself.
When you're trying to read a discussion and its written, well, like they way you type it, it gets very frustrating to read. Many people dont want to be friends with others who type like lazy asses that cannot be bothered to type the word people instead of ppl.
