i knew about a couple of songs before twilight (before i became a hardcore fan) but i will admit tht i had forgotten them for a few months/year before twilight i only knew thts what u get

And some "paramore fans" are thinking that Twilight and paramore are stricktley bounded togheter.

i discovered them around the time of the first twilight movie, but had heard a bit about them before. also, i don't mean to start anything, but does it really matter when you started listening? just because some fans heard them first through decode, doesn't mean that all of those fans only know and like the hit songs by the band, right? sure, there are fans like that. but we're all just a bunch of people with Paramore in common, so does it make that big a difference?

I think I might have started liking them during the twilight-production. But not because of it, kind of.
Cause I listened to them for the first time at a friends place. And Decode was NOT the first song I liked at all.

I liked them since mid-2008 I think. So technically during the production of twilight. I didn't know they had anything to do with it until just before it came out though.
First song i heard was 'we are broken' but it was 'thats what you get' that made me fall in love with the band so its still one of my all time fav songs!
I've always loved Paramore since the beginning, but I think Decode exposed them to a lot of people who weren't lucky enough to discover them before Riot!
Decode is an awesome song though... soo is I caught myself

Yes I did know paramore before twilight! I don't even care 4 twilight.
Personally, I hate all the books. I can explain why, but I would run out of characters. I don't really hate the first movie, though. I do think it has immature screenwriting, bad acting, and all the basic problems that come with a Stephine Meyer story, but overall the first movie was alright, I can sit through it without complaining about it. And Decode, while not being Paramore's best song, is still a pretty good song. Very atmospheric. Unfortunatly, the second movie made me feel like I was reading the book, so I hate it. I've never seen the third movie though, I'm waiting till my mom buys it on dvd so I could see if I'd like it or not.

eugh this really bugs me! im sorry, and i promise im not having a go at you. but i hate people that have a go at new paramore fans for liking paramore after they had heard decode. its great for paramore. and the people that say you can only like paramore if you liked them BEFORE riot! and BNE, its like no im sorry, you're wrong. sorry about the rant and if your not one of these people...then good for you! :}

What's w/ the hating? It's a topic. We don't know anything about the person who posted it. We don't know how informed they are about the frequency of the same topics posted. Being a fan isn't a contest. We're all here because we are fans. Just because someone knew about them before Twilight doesn't make them better than someone who heard them a week ago.
