ok, so i love to sing, and its actually what i want my career to be. but i dont think i sing wonderfully. i think that i can sing well, but not amazing. i know i have talent, and i know im not tone deaf, but i dont know how to feel better about my voice. i have been told by my mom, best friends, dad, and my uncle (my uncle has actually recorded a few songs in the studio, and he used to have a band, so it meant a lot to me when he said that i could sing) but for some reason i still dont feel great about it. am i just being humble without realizing it? i dont know how to tell if i can sing well or not. any advice?
p.s. i was going to take vocal lessons this summer, but i have no momey to do that, so that is out of the question.

wow, you guys are so nice. i still sing, in front of many people, even though i dont have the best confidence level with my voice. one issue that i really have is trying to go from my chest voice to my head voice with out a seam. its really difficult for me to go high, and if i could fix that i definatley think that would boost my confidence.
I get what you mean... Vocal lessons do a lot but really.. all you need now is the internet.. watch multiple videos on technique especially breathing because that strengthens your voice and calms your nerves if you go on stage...You need someone to support you... that is when you gain confidence in your voice so try and get a vocal coach as soon as possible cos i know it helped me a lot.. If people tell you your good.. accept the compliment and dont put yourself down because they wouldnt be faking it..

I was in the same situation. I love to sing and before I got a vocal coach I was unsure of my self. I'd gotten an offer to sing for a band but I wasn't sure if I was good enough. Im the same way I was good but not like Hayley good Lol. That really helped to hear my vocal coach give me positive encouragement. After hearing compliments after singing for her 1 time I felt a lot better.
But you have to be confident in your ability. If so many people have told you you can sing well. Believe it,trust them. Just keep doing what you love you'll never know where it could take you.
Find a church with a good choir. You can always find someone to help for free in church.
Ur rock and are the best ever u hear me god damit child ur the greatist person ever now SING, SING!!!
This reminds me of what happened with one of my friends. Except a little bit different. She was in a play and it was her turn to sing, she ran off stage crying.... she was so nervous of what people would think of her... a few weeks later, she saw that there was a singing contest, and she entered. She didn't want to give up on becoming a singer. She ended up winning! (the audience voted for the winner) Her confidence level boosted so much!! She now sings at open mike nights at resturants and stuff like that :) she gets tips all the time, sometimes she ends up with 200$ at a resturant! She went from a nervous young girl to a performer! You just need a big confidence booster like that! I'm sure you are amazing! I haven't even heard your voice yet, I already know you are brilliant!! Keep on trying!! I hope you achieve your dream someday!!! ?
My friend got her vocal lessons for free from her chorus teacher at school, if that helps at all :)

Believe in yourself. Don't attempt to seek approval - not everyone will like your voice, but i'm sure a hell of a lot will.
