    Hey,

I'm writing a very important essay about Punk, and I need to do some interviews with Punk/Rock/Pop lovers. So, since Paramore is considered to be a Punk/Rock band, I thought what better place than the Paramore site?! It would mean the world to me if you could answer these questions and help me with my essay. (:

Sometimes the questions may seem a little bit odd, so if you don't know what to answer to one question, please try to answer the other questions (:

    The questions:

What was the first punk song you ever heard?

What was the first punk song you ever heard live?

Could you explain why you like punk music? What aspects do you like?

Do you only listen to punk, or are there also other genres you like?

Do you have a favourite punk band? If the answer is yes, which one? And why do you like this band so much?

Which are your all time favourite punk songs?

Which bands are your all time favourite punk bands?

Where do you think punk started? In Great- Britain, the USA or somewhere else?

If you had to choose between punk and rock music, which one would you choose?

Thanks so much for answering these questions!

    Love, Alannah

My suggestion would be to write an essay more about punk, an less about punk-pop like Paramore. And i will fill out your questionnaire. c:

Sorrow-Bad Religion

None....... never been to any punk concerts.

I like how it can be aggressive, and the drumming is awesome. i also like how the lyrics have meaning, and not just repeate drivel over and over again.

I like punk, ska-punk, punk-pop, post-rock, alternative, and indie. :D

I don't know. I like London Calling-- The Clash...

Bomb The Music Industry!. Lyrics are wonderful and funny, and i love how they blend ska-punk and electronica.

NY....?

There is no way I can pick. :D

3) Simple song structure, not over produced, positive message, quiet fans
4) Yes. All genres
5) Teenage Head, because they're Canadian
6) My Generation, Public Image, Picture My Face, Slave To My Dick, Lust For Life.

7) The Who, Iggy Pop, Sex Pistols, Teenage Head, The Clash, D.O.A., Black Flag, The Ramones, Subhumans, The Damned, Street Dog.

Well I cant really remember the first songs I've herd :(

I may love Punk/Rock but I really only love the bands that put their hearts into the music and are not in it for the money. I also love Punk/Rock because of its very fun to just go crazy rocking out! IMO I tend to believe that Punk/Rock music really takes a lot of talent to produce, songs aren't written for the money, they are written from the heart of the musician which sends a much more powerful message than any other mainstream song could.

I listen so some metal, but I also love to listen to ballads, musical scores, and soft calming music i.e Lydia.

PARAMORE is my all time favorite band, they are such an inspiration to me, (the old band with the farros) I honestly believe Paramore stopped writing music for their fans and more for the popularity.

I cant choose a favorite song :( But I'd say Misery Business since I love playing that song so much on the drums.

I dont know where it started, I'd assume the USA.

I cant really choose between Punk or Rock because they are not really totally different. Punk Rock would be the way to go :D
