I was watching Degrassi, this show is real and honest about MOST teen life, but this show always bashes the christian faith. Everytime they show characters that are christians they reveal them as naive, judgmental, "holier than thou"; hypocrites, and basically in the end that the christian faith leads these characters astray and makes them blind. This show is suppose to portray REAL teen life in different perspectives; instead this show only shows one perspective-the view that completely disagrees and misunderstands the christian faith.

The whole point of that TV show is DRAMA because DRAMA SELLS. Dramatic situations and rule breaking. They use Christianity as the base for that rule breaking factor, it's the type of drama that sells. You might not agree with it, but the show producers don't care. WHat they care about is the fact that it makes them money.
I don't watch the show, but that sounds like the writers or whatever are pretty ignorant

yah because those are christian shows, this show says its portrays all perspectives but it doesn't. instead it contradicts. in those shows that only show christian views are christian shows-its a given.
i'm not trying to upset anyone, just stating that Degrassi doesn't actually show all views.

I disagree. i'm not talking about this show being "gusty enough to talk about the flaws of religion". i'm saying is unrealistic, the show is suppose to portray different perspectives, but it doesn't.
I agree. Like, when Darcy brought that one dude she was dating - I forgot his name - to her church camp thing. I don't know why but that really pissed me off because of how hypocritical the whole thing was.
Well, FOX would accept the taboo shit, but they don't care about teenage sitcoms. Lmao.

In fact, this TV show is the only one I've heard of that's gutsy enough to talk about the flaws of religion. It's probably why major networks aren't picking it up, the topics are too taboo.
