Before you go on about Josh and how "douchey" his blog post or anything he says is, I want you to read and consider this.
I've seen all this blame fly around towards Josh and all this love about Hayley.
Why? Because Josh posted a negative blog about the formation and organisation of the band and Hayley's response to that was to look upset and say "I didn't see it coming" basically.
So Hayley's the good guy and Josh is the bad guy.
You're all ignoring something here though.
Ignorance.
Playing God.
Are they happy songs? Cheerful? Do you hear them and think "What an uplifting tune?".
If you were Josh, with full knowledge they were written about you, would you?
Careful. "The truth never set me free". That quote is an exact opposite of a bible quote. Josh is highly religious, he clearly loves his god and saviour very very much, so for Hayley to ask him to play for a song and then fight the cause without properly taking Josh into consideration is a bit mean.
Whether you're religious or not is completely irrelevent. Put it this way, think of your boyfriend, girlfriend, best friend. Someone you love. Think about how you'd feel if your band lead singer demanded to use lyrics that insulted them directly. How would you feel?
I'm not pointing the blame at Hayley. I've got no idea how that argument went, I have no idea how Hayley won that. I don't know. So PLEASE, seeing this hate, negative comment, anything even slightly bad towards Josh is just unneccesary because you know NOTHING of the situation. I've said this from the VERY VERY start of it all.
PLEASE SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT HIM!
He isn't a bad person. You might not agree with what he said, you might not agree with how he went about things. But you don't seem to be taking into consideration what Hayley's done to bring this out in him.
@Matt
Yeah, I get what you're saying :/
@JustOneOfThoseGhosts
Because the cuss words didn't arrive until after the bible was written so that's a retarded thing to say.
Aside from that it's not the same as directly going against a bible quote.
There wasn't such a big fuss about Misery Business, was there? The Bible says (in a nutshell) not to cuss, and whore is kinda a bad word. But Josh didn't make a big deal about that, did he?
I'm happy when Josh left and Matt will replace Josh =.=
I dont hate Josh for leaving i respect his decision.Its his life and if he wasnt happy then he has every right to leave.I dont know what the fight was over but if it drove him to leave then so be it.
@Tanneth
LMFAO.
do u lyk mudkipz?
why dont you piss off! stop spreading hate around!
Josh is a very passionate Christian and its a sin to lie so im almost sure he would have been very truthful in his exit statement. i believe him because he's so down to earth.
My opinion.
Me again,

This is the link to when they did Let This Go as acoustic. Watch this and tell me that Hayley was not thinking about something all the way through. This song made the night for me, I sang crying my eyes out and I was proud of it. This song means so much to me and I am so thankfull to Hayley and Josh play this song. I forgot this bit so I promise this is the last part of my rant.
Don't get me wrong there's blame on both sides, Josh shouldn't have been so bitchy and shouldn't have put so much personal stuff in his blog. Hayley should have talked to him more about the songs before they released them. because they do conflict with his religion because he is such a strong Christian. I honestly am happy for him because clearly he is a lot happier now that he's out of such a bad situation and I can't wait to hear his new music. I also am happy for Zac, Jeremy and Taylor because it can't have been easy for them to be in this situation. I can't wait for Paramore's new music and hopefully this year will be good for Paramore. Sorry that was soo long but I do feel strongly about this. If you take the time to read it all then thanks and feel free to ask me about it or comment.
I've talked about this so many times I can run off my speech without thinking about it. I've been a fan of the band for three or four years now, and for all that time they have remained my favourite band. I know it sounds cliche but they got me through a lot. I have been through a fair bit in the past few years. At 12-14 young girls should be developing crushes and experimenting with makeup and having fun. Sleepovers with friends and being all happy all the time. For me at this time I was finding out about peadophiles and self harm. The only things that got me through this was music and friends, two things the band has always pushed, they always have said it's about the music and that fans are like friends to them. I'm not gonna go into loads of detail because it's not what this discussions about. Basically I had no help because I was too busy trying to help my best friend and my parents didn't know the full extent of my situation. The first album got me through this, I would sit in my room for hours listening to the songs, Let This Go was the one that helped me most. Anyway, from then till last year I had a pretty good image of the band members, I learnt about each one individually so I knew them pretty well. I've grown with the band and as the music has developed so have I as a person. Last year I saw the band live in Birmingham LG Arena, in November. I booked my tickets in August because I was soo excited that I could finally see the band. Despite that I was at the back of the Arena I could read the guys faces soo well. There was just something wrong. They gave it they're all but there was something wrong. It was the best night of my life but I was worried about them. Then in december when it all came out that they had split I understood what was going on with them. I wasn't angry with the Farro's at all, I was gutted but I knew that even with out the guys Paramore would go on and be awsome. Sorry this is so long btw, the last bits in the next comment
I myself refuse to pick sides, or dive to deep into this.
but, they've stated the line in Careful, 'The truth never set me free' is not in any way related to religion. however, even I have learned to never trust just one source.
i will miss josh and zac though- they're really talented~ but if they don't have their heart in it anymore, they have a right to leave, and i don't oppose it if it's what they want.
Josh Farro is a really talented man, and people should lay off of him. He did what we he believed was right, and in some way his beliefs were right. We could see something wasn't right, even if it wasn't obvious, but the people who took a second to look at him twice would have seen it. I wish Josh the best for Novel American and for the rest of his life. He deserves the consideration that he isn't the bad guy- he's just someone who didn't want to do what everyone else wanted him to do anymore.
hmmm... I play guitar, I can play 99% of paramore's back catalogue, and I'm a songwriter... HAYLEY HIRE ME NOW!!!!!!!
@ paramoday at six: well... I commented coz I'm bored and felt that point should be made, other than that...
Dear God, who keeps bringing this back up? :T
@ Matt: (coming in late, I know...) I agree that people should lay off Josh, but he came out with some blatent untruths in that post. He said they fired Jeremey before recording Riot! and let him back in after recording but before they went on tour, but he's credited in the liner notes and appears in the album art. And FBR have a copy of the contract Josh signed, so he can't keep saying he never put his name to anything. I guess its like what happened after blink went on hiatus; some people were so annoyed they just started talking sh*t about each other and they ended up regretting it in the end.
And he says that he objected to the changes in paramore's public image? Well, its not for me to judge his actions, but those changes seem to mostly boil down to Hayley's pro-gay rights stuff. He's not just 'highly religious' mate, he's pushing fundamentalist in my (admittedly battered, dog-eared, cynical and secularist) book.
But yeah, we shouldn't judge his actions when we don't know what his motives were.
I DON'T CARE HE LEFT!
Love this post, it's exactly how i feel. Love Josh Love Hayley, it's not our right to pick sides. We don't know what happened.
@Christian
Paramore are playing the idea of keeping it as just the three of them at the moment.
I say someone just get me an audition and we can be done with all of this! :D ha
as fans all we can be is supportive
It is what it is..>.< argueing about it wont change anything so lets just be wish them luck in whatever happens
hahahahaha, no he's not, he's just saying you should never point fingers at anyone, not even josh.
@AnnParamore
Fail.
Re-read what I said and try again.
so, you are blaming Hayley?
@Born for this
Careful has lyrics that go against what the bible says.
The bible does say "the truth will set you free".
Careful sings "The truth NEVER set me free".
The lyrics are whatever you interpret it as. I'm fairly certain that it's more about taking others into consideration as far as their opinions go.
they're growing up
they grew apart, same thing happened to my band, us (the instruments) and our singer kinda drifted apart, she left last week. i dont have any hard feelings towards her
people change, like i said, grow up
nothing stays the same forever
I think there are things you have to consider.
1: There's always two sides to a story.
2: Playing God, Ignorance nor Careful is about anti-Christian or a shot against someone who is. The quote is true, the bible does say the "truth will set you free." one of my favorite quotes. But if you read the lyrics, its about a relationship in which when the truth does come out, it's not always so pretty. In other words, ignorance is bliss. Only one that's been in that kind of relationship would understand.
3: If any of you remember, this is not the first hiccup the band has had. If you remember when Riot came out, they nearly broke up. Like all bands, each band have things to work out, and in many cases, it doesn't.
4: For others saying Paramore is NOT Christian, greatly offends me. For one, even if there lyrics are suggestible to them, Paramore is not a Christian worship band, like lets say David Crowder. Switchfoot is very christian, Flyleaf is very christian, but you wouldn't know it because they use their music for other means to express themselves to either the Lord or to fans. Paramore is the same way, just because they don't talk about God in a worship stance, doesn't mean they aren't Christian people. The band has had a very different life and they need their music to generate that feeling. Playing God, Ignorance, Misery Biz all have feeling and heart, that don't go against religion. Playing God is about someone who acts like God and plays like them, but in the end, is not even close. In another point, you can say that one person acts Christian, but really don't walk the talk. I don't know them personally, but I can say that Hayley, Taylor and Jeremy seem like very Christian people.
4: Josh doesn't look like a mean person, but you have to remember, to take in consideration to people. Whatever happened is THEIR BUSINESS! It's none of ours, so please, don't spread rumors or other nonsense crap. Don't go down to TMZ's level.
I don't think anyone is a bad person here. What happened, happened. I know many people will probably think that if Josh and Hayley hadn't broken up, the band would have been fine. We don't know that. For all we know they could of still had a bitter break up.
