and in spite of recent events, it still makes me happy to listen to it. Yeah, sure, maybe not everyone felt this way after all, but we know that obviously most of them felt happy again.
This post isn't meant to start ANOTHER discussion about what has happened. I just wanted to know if there were any songs that cheered you guys up after hearing what happened. Or, if any of the Paramore songs cheer you up in general. What songs are they? Let me know. ♥
@ A Misguided Ghost
Well, from my perspective, it's a little of both. I do relate to their songs personally. that's why I love their music so much. It's not solely because of the meaning from the writer but it does play a part in the enjoyment of the song. It's comforting to know that someone you admire is going through the same obstacles you are (or at one time did). It makes the song more genuine and relatable. But, I'm not THAT emotionally invested. It's a balancing act.
That's why I can still listen to Looking Up (or any other Paramore song) and feel just as good about it as I did before. The point in making the post was to show that in spite of all that has happened, we shouldn't let the drama tarnish the love and joy we got from the music because it all did come from a very real place. (I hope i made sense) :)
I don't get why so many people are getting freakishly emotional when they listen to their songs now. Shouldn't you be enjoying the songs because you relate to them personally, not because of the personal meaning from the writer? That might sound a little confusing, but I hope that you somewhat understood what i said.
Alll of their songs makes me cheer up! :D

WARNING: Jumping out of windows may cause death or serious injury ;)
Other than that, I agree!

lol, i think if anyone ever forgets why they're a fan of paramore, they should go back and listen to all the cds and they'll remember.
I just listened to The Final RIOT! Which made me kinda sad but at the same time, it cheered me up too :)
