"According to an interview that Hayley recently did with UOL.com in Brazil, Paramore will be bringing Josh Freese and Justin York on their South American tour to fill in on drums and lead guitar.

Here's the link to the interview:
    http://musica.uol.co...otimo-show.jhtm

Here it is translated (thanks to unfolias on LiveJournal):

UOL music: Josh and Zac have recently left the band. Can you tell us what happened?
Hayley: Honestly, they said they weren't happy. So they decided, a few months ago, they'll leave the band. And we said: 'alright!'

UOL: Who will replace them in the SA tour?
H: At the moment, we' got Taylor's brother, who had already replaced Josh. He will tour with us playing the guitar and doing Josh's parts. On the drums we will have Josh Freese.

UOL: What are your expectations for the SA tour?
H: We are just happy to be back. It's been two years since we last came here and we were anxious to come back, but we never really did find time to return. So we're excited, because some of our coolest fans live there, we always chat with them through the internet. I think it will rock (?). We will show the fans that we're still here, we're still able to put on a good show and we really appreciate our fans support.

UOL: What will you play over here? (i think he means which songs will they play)
H: The setlist will be similar to the HCT one, which happened in America in the middle of this year. It's one of the biggest shows we've done, we can interact with the crowd a lot and there is a good mix of musics from all our albums.

UOL: You've been playing with your band since you're 16 years old and now you're 22. What's the most valuable lesson that you've learned during these years?
H: You simply have to be happy and love what you do. We're lucky that we have our fans as our family. We never really felt that we were in the big stage, we were always at their level. They [the fans] really understand what we are going through when we write a song. We thank a lot for that. We're one of those lucky bands that can travel through the whole world and have the support of so many fans.

UOL: BNE was released this last year. What can you tell us about that work and its lyrics?
H: I'd say that I still agree with all that I said when making BNE. I've learned a lot about people, growing and how your heart reacts to different things in life. Sometimes, it reacts in a awful way and you have to pass through it all with a sense of gratitude. I thank everything that we went through as a band. I'm happy about everything, even in the hard times, because life isn't only about being in a band, life's about you turning into the person that you'll be proud of and reaching people at that level. You have to show them there's still hope. For me, BNE was an opportunity to show people that, even in the hardest times, we are still faithful and there's still something good in the world. It's uncommon to fell that way, so we hope that people can listen to our CD and fell what we want to transmit.

UOL: It all that's been happening, what will the future of paramore?
H: We've started to write musics and new ideas. Taylor, Jeremy and I are very excited for the future. We know it's a big step for us. Going through this isn't easy, but that won't stop us. We owe that to our fans, because if we didn't have them, we wouldn't even be here today. If we stopped now, it would be disrespectful to all those that believe in us.

UOL: Have you started to record anything yet?
H: We hope to do that in the next year [2011], we will prepare them as fast as we can, because we are really inspired at the moment. We aren't sure about those songs yet (?), but we are ready to move forward and we're happy about that.

UOL: Are there any plans to replace Josh and Zac?
H: Obviously, when we get on the next tour that will have to be decided, but, at the moment, we fell stronger than ever. That's inspiring us. Us 3 will do what's the best for our band now and, in the future, we will see who we're going to find to help us on tour."

If you don't know who Josh Freese is, find out about him here:

     http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Freese_discography

As a summary, he is 38 years old and is a talented drummer, who has been a studio and touring drummer for many bands, He is currently touring with Devo and Weezer (who Paramore toured with earlier in 2010)

Neither Justin nor Josh are official members of Paramore - they have only been confirmed as touring members.

Though it would be good if Justin joined. The York brothers would be the new Farros.

I'm fine with Justin, and like the idea of him even joining the band.
My thoughts on Josh Freese are.. indifferent.

Half-Blood Nataly's picture

It'd be epic if Josh joined permanently though.
Dude's got some mad skills :)

Josh Freese obviously has a lot of experience and talent and has worked with a variety of artists. Which I didn't realise he had worked on Avril Lavignes previous 3 albums.

Josh Freese is a beast! Jealous of all of you going to that tour.

I just realized I must have seen Josh Freese perform when I saw Devo last year. I remember thinking: "Damn, that band has an amazing drummer."

Josh Freese played drums on Evanescence's album Fallen.

Hayley would have been around 1 year old when Josh Freese joined The Vandals in 1990.

Please, please Paramore - keep Josh Freese as long as you can. Don't let that guy out of your sight!

Josh Freese. :D :D

Saw him live with Weezer and he was brilliant, and he's also played with Guns. Two of my favourite bands.

Excellent replacement. Shame he won't stick around, but then he never does.

@emmaaax333 neither Josh freese nor Justin York are joining as members, just helping us for the South American tour :)

paramoreislove_6's picture

Josh Freese is a freaking monster on the drums. He plays for the best bands.

tragically_hip's picture

After doing Paramore's biggest tour ever I guess John (Jon) Howard didn't cut the mustard ?

What gives there?

J3LlyBlOb1234's picture

Awesome! I bet they'll be great. :) Hope Paramore has a nice 2011 tour. Cheers for Josh and Justin!! :)

LydiaConspires's picture

Yeah he is at the moment, but as far as I'm aware Weezer only have a few shows coming up in January, and the SA tour with Paramore is in February-March so it should be okay.
This hasn't been directly confirmed yet though, the interview only appeared this morning.

Ignore this jackass.
Seriously.

@Misguided Ghost

Don't even talk back to him/her. I did. For hours last night. I regret it because, they're not going to shut up, and we're just fueling their fire.

All I can say is, completely ignore Herpes.
