Duddeee. I'm not an insane big fan of HP but I do love the books & the movies. When does part 2 come out? I always go see these movies on opening day. I am so excited.

I loathed that bit. Had it been another film it would of been fine, but Harry Potter as a book is completely known for it's ingenuity and they simply think that they can just rush past it using simple newspaper clippings and shit.

Agreed, David Yates crewed up quite a bit in OOTP. Like, all of the newspaper flash things popping up every 10 minutes? I don't know WHO decided that one, but they really stuck out from the other movies in a bad way for me, don't know about you.
I'm stoked for this movie to come out haha. like 5 years ago, my dad bought me a Gryphindor (spelling?) scarf as a joke.
And yes, I do agree. The casting was very good. I was VERY impressed with Evanna Lynch as Luna, she was absolutely perfect.

HBP is a good film, I really like it. the humour in it is fantastic which is an aspect a lot of the other films have missed. GOF was filmed by a different director, when David Yates came in he totally screwed up the order of the phoenix.
Thankfully, he seems to have realised this and sorted the HBP a bit better.
OOTP is a very long book, but as you said, it was mainly thoughts. Daniel Radcliffes acting didn't live up to it, it would have been easy to show the feelings through his facial expressions. He was barely sub par. I understand them having to cut bits out, it's neccesary. But the dumbledore speech.
The whole thing that is meant to reveal EVERYTHING, the entire mystery behind Harry's past.
I read the blurb to the OOTP and i was SO excited to see what happens, what it says, it changed EVERYTHING as far as my harry potter life was concerned. NOTHING was revealed and it angered me immensley.
The deathly hallows looks like it could live up to the expectations, there will be faults, of course, but I can see it being genius work in comparison to the last 2 monstrosities we've seen.

And just to add a bit, I think that OOTP DID have amazing casting. Tonks, Bellatrix... it was awesome.
And suddenly a nice happy conversation about Harry Potter must go down the drain because of conflicted opinions...
Well, it was definitely better then OOTP, but hey, OOTP was the longest book, it must have been really hard to write that down in a 2 hour movie script. Plus, most of the book itself was all in Harry's head where he felt all alone and stuff. I will admit, it was a small step down from GOF, which WAS fantastic. HBP could have definitely explained a lot more about Tom, but in the end I think it's really hard to make a movie out of what's already perfection. Give em credit for trying, ya know?
Regardless of any of the past movies, DHP1 will definitely be the best.
