I used to be one that got upset when all the focus was on Hayley. But I see more and more topics about it and the more and more I wish people would just stop and think...
Of course Hayley's getting most of the attention!
She's the lead singer. She's the face and voice of Paramore. Even years back it was only a picture of her in an article about Paramore. Not in every article, but I'm just saying it's nothing new. And every single one of us is guilty for thinking only of a lead singer when it comes to a band. I say Queen you think Freddie Mercury. I say Hey Monday you think Cassadee Pope. I say Dashboard Confessional you think Chris Carabba. The list goes on and on. It's nothing new. Of course people are gonna know the name Hayley Williams and not the name of ThatbassistwhodoesthatcooltrickinPressure. Thatbassist isn't the voice of Paramore
Of course a band is a family. All us fans know that. But the people who aren't fans don't focus on the band as a whole, they'll pay attention to the one who's up front. Yes, it's Hayley's face on the cover of Spin. Yes, it's Hayley giving that interview. Yes, it's that hot red head those guys by those lockers over there are talking about.

yeah,i don't like it too,but lead singers are always more well-known than (as you said) the bassist (although i love jeremy,it's my favourite member XD).but people who really care about the band know the name of its members,because we need all of them,just not the singer
I know! People just don't get it that it's like that with all bands pretty much. Flyleaf, Evanescense, The Killers... th elist could go on forever. That's what lead singers are. The main person in the group.

Yeah. i guess so :) ha. i dont mind it much. but when i talk about the band i try to mention the other members just cuz i feel like they deserve credit for being in the band too :)

I agree, people need to get over the fact that Hayley is the popular one. She is the one right in front, so of course people are gonna see her first. WE all know who Paramore is, even if everyone else just knows Hayley, so just let it go.

You can't just dismiss people because of the kind of music they listen to. I hate rap as well but if rap is someone elses thing, that's cool. Same for the kids who only listen to the new hits

lol. that is so true. i swear. almost all of my distant friends used to hate paramore. but now its 'omg hayley williams is sooo good' because they listened to airplanes
