Hey! I decided to ask something, it's not really paramore related, but in some way it is. The question is do you drink alcohol or smoke?? I'm not saying you can't drink at all, but do you go to a lot of parties and smoke weed or usual tobaco products and drink a lot? Paramore has changed my life by being a huge example. They don't drink or smoke and it's so normal, they are showing us that you can have fun without being wasted. I wish all young people would follow their example. So, i'm just curious, what do you guys think? Do you consider yourself as an "Straight Edge" person or not really? I hate drinking and smoking, so i do.

I'm way too young to drink and smoke, but I hate both. Especially smoking, it smells disgusting. I don't plan to ever smoke.
I have tried alcohol before and it was disgusting and it burned too. And not to be a wuss but I'm too scared to try drugs. I know I will maybe try pot or drink once or twice but no way I am going to get addicted! And if I will try something, I will do it because I want to. Not because someone is telling me to do it. My cousin has very easy acsess to drugs and alcohol, and she does it all the time...I'm really mad at her because she always tells me 'I wanted to look cool' or 'Well they told me to do it'. To me, I don't think doing drugs and getting wasted is very attractive. Yeah, like I totally would go for a guy who can barely stand with his intoxicated body on me and his smelly hair and bad breath. Gee that sounds like my dream guy. TOTALLY NOT!
I don't smoke because my grandpa died from it and my step-grandpa almost died from it, he quit right after. And i just can't stand the smell of smoke either. And usually when people start smoking they eventually want to quit later in life and i don't want to have to go through all the stress of trying to quit. I'm too young to drink, too. I don't know if I'll drink when i'm of age but right now I don't care for it.

I like to drink but I don't do it everyday cause of my age and when alcohol is there I don't go crazy. Few sips here and there don't hurt.
I have smoked before I hated it cause it hurt, I smoked for about 2 weeks and stopped.
I have had weed before and I didn't really like it cause of the flavor. I think the flavor is very... I don't even know how to describe it.
Having done all of the those things, Do they make me a bad person? No they don't I just wanted to try them and see if I liked it. And I know that if I liked all 3 of those things that I would know how to control myself. Like drinking. And I know this because I have friends that get really messed up on the weekends and at parties. And never once have I wanted to go crazy.

ive been offered drugs and drinks, but ive said no. mainly cuz my parents would kill me, and id love to say ill never do any of that crap in my life, but i dont know for sure.
I don't do either. One, because I'm underage and I could never get my hands on alcohol cause I'm like, only 14. Two, I'm not really a big fan of smoking and or drinking. Some of my friends do it though.
I honestly think drinking and smoking could be bad for me so I don't really ever want to try it. Besides, I'm kind of afraid to get hooked on something like that.
I don't smoke and never will. People around me have smoked most of my life and I hate the smell. I also have developed asthma which is possibly related to the secondhand smoke fucking up my lungs, so yeah. Never going to try a cigarette, ever.
As for alcohol, I only ever drank it on social occasions. Then I realised I don't even like it. Why knock back some bitter-tasting drink just because everybody else is? I don't really drink at all now.
As for drugs, I wouldn't try them. These days you have no idea how to tell what is in the drugs people offer, plus there's the danger of addiction. However it was some kind of natural drug, like shrooms, used to aid creativity, I might try it.

Ive been offered, but I've never smoked anything and I don't drink. Though I'm only 14 so I guess I dont know if that'll change when I'm older, but I'm sure the smoking thing won't. Whenever someone is standing by me and smoking and I breathe it in, it's a disgusting feeling. So I just stay away from it. I can't see that changing cause I've always hated the smoky smell and I don't think it's worth it.
Not sure about alcohol yet. I don't know. I just know that whatever I do that's alcohol related, if I decided to drink I'd make sure I could drink in moderation, because I don't want to become dependent on anything.
To be honest, you can't say you know what you're going to end up like.
I was exactly where you were when I was about 16ish.
I then went through a phase when I loved to drink. I drank too much one night and then couldn't smell anything with even a tiny amount of alcohol in without wanting to violently throw up.
I drink now when I'm out and about. It's a way of getting away from stuff. I don't need it to have fun, it just helps it along. I smoke occasionally when I drink and if there was anyone around offering drugs I doubt I'd say no.
You shouldn't be so prejudice about it until you've tried it. I know that the idea of getting drunk all the time is stupid, chain smoking is stupid and becoming a drug addict IS stupid.
But the social, occasional maybe side of it all isn't as bad as you'd think. It actually helps me to cope with life sometimes.
What I'm trying to say is "don't knock it until you've tried it"

Your right - Paramore are one of the few bands who actually are an example. They don't smoke, swear, get drunk or take drugs - thats one of the reasons i like them so much! :)
I've never tried any of those things and don't intend to. Who knnows maybe I'll drink a little beer or whine in the future but not be an alcoholic or anything. I honestly don't know why people even start stuff like that, it sucks from what I can tell.

i drink but i dont smoke. i hate dating smokers- tastes nasty when u kiss them. and the smell of the smoke on someones clothes makes me cough really bad. ick. as my friends say im not a bad girl, not a good girl, im somewhere in betweeen and leaning towards bad most of the time.

no i hate smokers but some of them r very cool but i would lik to drink a bit not 2 gt me drunk but im diabetic and alcohol has sugar in so ye.

i live in a town with a huge drug problem....it is heart breaking 2 see some of my bestest friends in the world at the skatepark getting high....when they can be doing something better. i know someone that is addicted 2 heroin....it is horrible. 2 all of you that dont do drugs....im proud of you. 2 those who do and are trying 2 get better....i suppport you....and remember that you are loved and you will get through this

Hanging around with people who get drunk has put me off Alcohol seeing them make total pratts of themselves if that's enjoying yourself then I'm proud to be miserable. I don't like it when people smoke by me I hate the smell of Tobacco. So I don't Drink or Smoke.
