"Paramore don't want to be the Twilight 'house band'".
I read this EVERYWHERE. It's absurd, they only said that like, once and this was just after the film came out.
Since then Hayley herself said that her and the rest of the band would be willing to do another soundtrack for the film if it came naturally; they didn't want to force it out.
They aren't known as the twilight band at all, honestly. I've heard NO ONE refer to them as that and a lot of my friends know of Paramore and of Twilight. I haven't heard it once from anyone anywhere and I get around a lot, really.
People that keep saying they're glad about it them not being on another soundtrack, why? You're glad Paramore don't get a large amount of recognition and more fame? I'm sorry, why are you here?
Twilight was AMAZING for Paramore, they got a huge amount of recognition from it.
Don't be all like "The twifans are totally fake and only know decode" because that kind of stereotype is pathetic. If you have that opinion then i can actually say in all certainty that you are an ass.
My friend got into Paramore after hearing decode, since then has all their albums, the final riot, all their released stuff, seen them live twice and has met them. She wouldn't know who they were if it wasn't for twilight so stop making up this bullshit because you've met one person who only knows Decode.
The films aren't bad, that's my opinion on it, others may not like it but if your favourite band is apart of it then you may aswel support it.
Plus, with the Twilight franchise gaining more and more supporters then that means that Paramore will do, don't knock it if it's helping. There's no point.
Honestly guys, the only people that are thinking of Paramore being the Twilight house band are the fans and it's doing my head in. Muse have been on 3 soundtracks, they aren't the house band but they're more so than Paramore. There's no such thing. You don't think Twilight=Paramore or Twilight=Muse, and if you do then you need therapy.

I personally am very glad paramore chose to be on the Twilight soundtrack, because if they hadn't I would have missed something amazing ! I heard both paramore songs on the Twilight soundtrack and decided to look into them and have been a huge Paramore fan ever since ! I own all of their songs and have been to a show. But personally I don't think paramore is the "Twilight house Band"...

Meh. A good song is a good song, wherever it's put.
Besides, unless you bought the soundtrack you would never know they were on 'Twilight'.
You could just about make out I Caught Myself in the background of a scene (btw, in the book for that scene it says 'some whiney rock song was playing in the background'... nice). Then Decode was played sped up at the very end after most of the credits.
well its (sadly) to late for them to be in the eclipse soundtrack. but it would be amazing if they were in the breaing dawn soungtrack.
decode was amazing and so was i caught myself.
twilight and paramore are my 2 fave things in the world.

I've seen a thread that kinda said the opposite of this; it was about remembering the old fans or whatnot (which I reckon has a point).
I will say this; I'm sitting here on the fence *plays Fences*. Or, rather, in the middle. I'm not saying Paramore has to do a song for either Eclipse (If it's possible to sneak it in) or Breaking Dawn, but I'm not saying they shouldn't at all.
Remember, guys, it's the band's decision. Decode was one helluva good song. Hell, what am I saying? IS! If they want to release a new song for Twilight, it's all fine and good. If they don't, it's also all fine and good.

you are so right the only people who thinks of Paramore as the Twilight house band are the Paramore fans who hate Twilight, honestly i don't know why people hate Twilight, if they do songs for the movies we all win, we got new songs and they got more fans, whats so wrong about that?

Don't get me wrong I like Twilight and some day I'm going to marry Robert pattinson but really...? Enough with the paramore is twilight talk! They did 2 really good songs for 1 movie! It's done I don't think they are doing any more, so people should chill!

i used to listen to rap and pop and whatever was popular and the i heard decode and got in to paramore through twilight. now i cant stand rap or pop. so i'm glad they did it

I totally agree, I want them to do another song for the twilight saga. I don't think they're "The Twilight Band." sorry if this offends anyone, but personally I think Muse is the "Twilight Band" but anyways, I'm agreeing. =)

I am so jealous of your friend! seen them live twice and met them!! so very very jealous. I read the books and saw the movies of twilight before i fell in love with paramore but i didn't even realise that there was any connection between the two. Decode's not my favourite song but i can't decide which one is. :)

I was a fan of Paramore wayyy before twilight, but in a way it's good because those fans who only came to recognise Paramore through Twilight understand why i love paramore so much, instead of stereotyping it as like an 'emo' band etc.

I think people who knew Paramore before Twilight tend to get a bit protective if that makes sense?
I went to Paramore's side show in Sydney and there were these mum's hanging around looking after their daughters and they asked a bunch of us "Who are Paramore? Ohhh they're the Twilight band! I love that song!" and everyone just got incredibly annoyed. But that's how people recognise them, then that's cool. It means people know Paramore.
I think Twilight did wonders for Paramore :)

Okay. First thing is my friends called paramore 'the twilight band' for a while but now they dont considering they weren't in new moon etc and now the only reason they know them is because im 'the emo paramore girl'. ugh no one at my school likes them but whatever...
Next is I TOTALLY agree with the stupid stereotypes like twilight paramore fans arent true paramore fans. i personally love twilight and paramore. I found out about paramore through twilight: big whoop. its no big deal.
Thirdly: Yeah twilight totally helped paramore! i mean come on they have gotten lots of new fans and really there isn't much wrong with being the twilight band if people can see that there's more to them than that.
Anyhoo i think this debate has gone on too long and people need to drop it. PARAMORE WASN'T ON THE NEW MOON SOUNDTRACK. twilight came out march last year. WE know they aren't the twilight saga band, and people who do still want to think that need to move on because clearly they have a tendency to live in the past. Get over it people. thats all.

Twilight = 1 year and a half ago . I think it's time to get over this.
Don't say that people never recognize them as the twilight band , cause in the beginning of twilight [The movie , of course] people who didn't know paramore before saw them as the "twilight band ".
I don't think that people who loves twilight & paramore are fake fans , yeah , you're right that's stereotype.
BUT still , I liked paramore better before twilight. For some kind of selfish reasons and i know they are selfish .
You're right , it brought them a lot of fame they deserved this fame , they're awesome , Paramore has been my favorite band ever since i know them. But my problem is they're so hard to reach now , I think the best wasn't AWKIF times , they weren't known enough , The best was Riot! times 2007 - 2008 .
I love bands that are known enough to have a good fanbase , but they're not known by every single persons.. I love when a band can walk in a street without being annoyed by everyone. They're easier to reach.
Anyway.. that's just my point.
@Matt I guess that's true. I think that they can appeal widely to all sorts of people because the lyrics are open to the interpretation of the individual; but with songs like Miz Biz and that sort of thing where the lyrics are pretty straightforward, I guess they do appeal more to people like the girls who go through that stuff.
I've noticed that about Muse when The Resistance came out last year 8] NSC makes it more obvious. I liked their old hat conpiracy-style stuff, but Resistance is one of my favourite songs. I wouldn't say that's superficial since it's based on a book though.
Endlessly, Bliss etc maybe even Map of the Problematique seem lovey. Butterflies and Hurricanes though? o.O
I think Twilight was good for publicity. My sisters who like Twilight were like 'Paramore is soo good' and got their songs from my iTunes, which is pretty remarkable because their very much a fan of pop ie Britney, Lady Gaga. I think Paramore just don't just want to be associated as the people who sung the song from Twilight. I'm not a fan of Twilight, but I agree with it being a very good career move for them.

I'm not discrediting the emotion behind the song or what it means, I'm just saying that the lyrics are VERY appealing to girls who go through stuff like that. You can't deny it really, they are Paramore's biggest fan base.
Muse's lyrics appear to be becoming more love orientated. It's interesting considering the brilliance behind older songs. New Born and Hysteria for instance.
Although, Endlessly and Butterflies and Hurricanes are some of my favourite songs by them and they appear to be lovey.
