For "Stealing The Only Exception"

what the hell... they sound nothing a like, and im not just saying this to stay loyal to paramore or anything like that, they are two completely different songs with two completey different messages to them. the other band claim paramore used the same chord progressions as them - there are only a certain amount of chords in the world, its not really a major surprise that some songs have similar progressions. and do we even know paramore have ever heard this other song before... just coz it was sent to fbr...
i think its just a struggling band trying to get their 15 minutes of fame and tbh they wont even make a dent in paramore's huge success and fan base but to even think they can win this case just shows they really dont know what they are doing messing with ledgends such as paramore
They only thing they Paramore can by sued for is being to awesome!
that sounds NOTHING like The Only Exception!
They are just jelous that Paramore Rocks ! :)
We love you Paramore :D
they didn't even spell hayley's name right in the first page of the court documents... "haley williams" haha losers.
Thye sound nothing alike! That band can get screwed! No one messes with Paramore!
I agree with @Para Trooper
thoes noobs
It's obvious.
TEO is one of the most succesful songs of BNE. If it wasn't a single, then the demand wouldn't exist.
The only exception is a far better song anyway.. they dont sound alike to me so its just a bunch of wannabes wanted some cash.. noobs
It sounds nothing like the only exception. silly desperate people and their stupidness. They should work for their fame not try to get it by claiming someone else's.
this is nubbiness
i'll admit JUST parts of it sound just a litttle teeny tiny bit alike. I'm not a parahater. i love them to death!!!! and infinity!!!
what!!!!?!?!?!?!
http://tilatequilaomg.files.wordpress.com/2010/10/paramore_page_07.jpg
twice in this page, the success of paramore and TOE is mentioned. it's sus to me
http://tilatequilaomg.files.wordpress.com/2010/10/paramore_page_10.jpg
and this one they make it sound like tenspoke indies are suffering emotionally. they should grow a pair
if it was actually copyrighted, why would FBR, Warner or Atlantic even bother showing it to paramore. that would be complete musical suicide.
http://tilatequilaomg.files.wordpress.com/2010/10/paramore_page_13.jpg
read the last paragraph - they make paramore. FBR, Warner and Atlantic sound like plajurising criminals. it's stupid.
HOW MANY SONGS ARE WRITTEN IN THE KEY OF Bm?
HOW MANY LOVE BALLADS ARE THERE IN THAT KEY?
HOW MANY SONGS USE THE CHORDS F#, B and E?
its dumb how paramore would get sued for something like this cuz what if paramore didnt know about this band at all or this song that they produced way back when and im sorry but to me this other bands song doesnt even sound close to the only exception. it could seriously be an honest mistake of paramore not even knowing about this band and there song. so i think its stupid for them to be suing paramore cuz there songs sound different when you compare them in my view.
the only thing i c here is a crapy band trying to steal some of the success Paramore has work hard for
well copyright on a song is up 75 years after the original artists death thats why
wow this is dumb lost of songs can sound alike. anyways you dont hear of bach beethoven and other famous old composers sueing all of the music players in the world. (i know they are all dead but still)
whatever dood
@Zacs#1fan wow :O ok.....not
why dont you go platy the songs over one another and tell me they dont sound similar at all
btw they HAVE to pay every person who bought this single 50000$ cuz it sounds so lame. waste of money.
@Zacs#1fan only deaf ppl say that the songs are similar
@lucas you clearly know nothing about music
wow green days 21 Guns sounds more like The only exception as this song.
actually the songs sound very similar and who cares its only for 75,000 dollars paramore has that easily
Well , I Think That's A Total Shit.
Paramore Didn't Sound Anything Like That Tenspoke Or Whatever ! Who Cares. Anyway , People Just need Some Nonsense issue To Start off For Publicity . They Sounded Nothing Alike.
GOOOOOOOO PARAMOREEE
yeah, if theyre the same, katy perry should be sued for having the same chord progression as panic at the disco, theres only so many chords in the world that can sound right together, sorry this other band didnt make it, its clearly jealousy
I am an attorney, musician and Paramore fan. Check out the case of Fogerty v. Fantasy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fogerty_v._Fantasy
John Fogerty, formerly of Creedence Clearwater Revival, was sued for copyright infringement for the song "The Old Man Down the Road." His former label said the song ripped off the CCR song "Run Through the Jungle." Fogerty played his guitar on the stand at trial and convinced the Court the songs were different. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Old_Man_Down_The_Road
Fogerty won and, ultimately, the Supreme Court said the lower court had discretion to award him attorney's fees even if the lawsuit against him wasn't frivolous.
The two Fogerty songs are much closer in their introductions, arrangements, chord progression, key, melody, lyrical theme, rhythm and tempo than "The Only Exception" is to "Starlighter." And, of course, the Fogerty songs were written and performed by the same guy -- Fogerty!!

I say Paramore goes to trial, and the parties play their songs in open court. "The Only Exception" brings the court to tears. Paramore wins, gets attorney's fees, vindication, and a Grammy.
bullshit, sounds nothing like it!
gosh, this makes me so angry!
its the classic routine u stole my song ok you do get songs that sound similar but that doesnt mean they stole it
It's like a advertisement... I mean I didn't know what is Tenspoke Indies, than I watched a video with their song and now I know ;D
