My daughter LOVES Paramore, but having NOT been to a concert in years and not knowing a whole lot about the band, I don't know if I should get her these tickets for her birthday. She will be 11. Any thoughts from those who have been to one of their concerts would be appreciated. Thanks.
It depends, some venues don't allow people under the age of 16. Even if it is an all ages show, there will probably be some drunk guys or something. It all depends on what you think.
And I see this was posted a year ago, so my comment will probably be no help :P
Oh, and as people have said below me, definitely get seats.
Yeah I do think it's quite appropriate for your 11 year old. It might depend on where your planning on seeing them though. At my Oakdale Theatre, CT there was a lot of alcohol to be honest with you. So that depends on whether your potential venue allows it and whether you approve of her being exposed to people that might passed out on the bathroom floor completely smashed. :D.
I think overall it would be ok though because Paramore's a very safe band.
Yeah defenitly!!!
best gifft ever:)!!!
Definitly! I've been a Paramroe fan since I was 11, never been to one of their concerts before. They seem great tho, and I heard that they perform great live. :)
paramore are perfect role models and great to see live ;)
And seating tickets are a must, i think theres a 16+ age limit at most venus for standing
Uh Yeah!! I've been to couple. Paramore fun are friendly.
yea, i went to a paramore concert in grandrapids michigan, and it was an amazing experience, i am 14, i saw the concert earlier this year...i think it would be fine, just get ear plugs it gets really loud :P have fun!
I definately agree with Oberts 15
I'm 15 and I got seats for myself... The floor was crazy crowded, and she probably wouldn't be able to see well.
So yeah, get seats, she'll love it!!! It's an awesome gift!!!
Oh, and it's totoally kid-appropriate, if that's another thing you are worried about! :)
Yeah, it'd definitely be a great gift! Just don't get her tickets for general admission, get seats, if there's any available. It gets really crowded in GA and she might not be able to see well, and it gets crazy.
yes!!!! absolutely!!! hayley and josh (if he talks) do not curse or anything and their music is for everyone :) i hope you guys have fun if you go!!!
Yes!!!!! paramore is never inaporrapriote and great role models. there are no mosh pits or drugs, and stuff like that + my dad gave them to me when i was 11 on there riot tour
yes get her tickets! no one is too young or old to see paramore
When I went to the concert a few weeks ago, there was this little girl and her mom standing beside me. The girl was so upset because she couldn't see well. Her mom was trying to explain to her that it's general admission and the spots are first come first serve. They ended up standing in the lawn area at the back because it's on a hill so she could see.
But if your venue has seats, then yeah, it would be a great gift. :)
Um, that's what I want to know. I'm kinda obsessed with Paramore, and when I found that I was going to the concert, then not, I wanted to know why....
but yes, that wud be awesome for her prolly.
I wish i could get tickets for my birthday.
i saw my first paramore concert when i was 12 (15 now =P) so shell be grand if shes sitting. i wasnt. was rough as hell!!!!!!
loved it though!
xxxxx
I think she'd love them. you'd have to get seated as she's only 11, and i think going to gigs is really important during your teenage years :)
i'm 13 and i saw paramore last may and it was a good show. i'd get lawn tickets cause there cheaper. i had lawn seats and i didn't see drugs or anything.
I think it just depends on the venue.
Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. The venue that they will be playing in here has seats and a GA area. I think I will go ahead and take her and get balcony seats. They won't be the closest seats, but I really don't think she'll care....and we'll take binoculars. Thanks again!
Only if it was seated.
I have been to folk metal concerts and never seen any drug abuse, so if there was any at Paramore I would be REALLY surprised. I would only associate drug abuse with festivals.
The problem is people are so desperate to get near the front for mainstream bands that they push...so everyone will get squashed. Some people go a bit too far...I wouldn't put an eleven year old in a crowd like that to be honest.
i would suggest to get seat tickets since ive seen then twice and theres always pushing, moshing, and crowd surfing (which sucks since you get kicked in the head out of no where)
No Doubt/Paramore I didn't see one incident.
There is no smoking in Toronto and security is pretty good. I have seen people smoking pot a couple times now. My dad says that's pretty good. You see the occasional messed up person but security or the police take care of them quickly.
none that i could see...paramore has a pretty good fan base and i dint smell pot at eather so drugs are no see no smell so no worrys
I won't say my age but my first concert I had just turned 12. My dad just hangs out downtown untill the concert is over. We use cell phones in case of any problems. I've been to around 15 concerts now without any incidents. I agree with (deathdealer666) on the seats.
I wish my mum would get me tickets for a concert xD
Thank you, it does. Can you tell me if there are many drugs or anything floating around normally?
