I know Hayley Williams is one of the coolest, most talented people on the planet...but she's not the only member in Paramore. Whenever people think of Paramore, they think of Hayley, but what about Taylor, Zac, Josh and Jeremy? Okay, I don't expect non-parawhores to know all of their names. The other day I was listening to Paramore at school, and everyone was like 'That's Hayley Williams' (well done) but I was like, 'no, it's Paramore' and then they were all saying that Hayley Williams might as well do solo stuff because nobody ever pays attention to the guys. But I disagree with that completely. The guys in the band are also a part of Paramore. It's not just Hayley!!
I would write more, but I need to go to bed now because I didn't get any sleep last night. Thought you ought to know :)

Ignorance is all it is. It's a real shame too because Zac, Josh, Jeremy, and Taylor are equally just as important, cool, and talented. There's a whole important history and background with all of them.
I hate it when people think that it's only Hayley, I totally disagree, Hayley is a great singer but come on. It isn't Hayleymore, It's paramore.

I know Paramore isn't just Hayley but a lot of people thinks that. And I do get what you're saying but usually in a band the only member people they tend to know is the front-person. But most importantly we know who they are and they are a band.

The thing is, lead singers always get the lime light. And who cares if people who aren't total Paramore fans believe that Hayley IS Paramore.. Pretty sure the guys and Hayley care more about their fans than people who aren't.
i agree all my school friends discussed airplanes and then said oh i prefer hayley williams's song misery business and i turned around and interrupted and said "it's not just hayley it's paramore there are more than one member of the band hayley is not a solo artist and she doesn't like being a solo artist as she stated in one of my kerrang magazines
teenagers and bad romance are the only things close to solo she has done without involving anyone else
dont get me wrong hayley is like the most amazing woman in the world and thats person wise but from my favorute artist its paramore not hayley williams

But really, I'm glad that they ACTUALLY know who Hayley is, and have some vague awareness of Paramore, if you know what I mean.
There are still people who say "Who's Paramore?" and you tell them the songs, maybe even sing them a few songs - but if they don't know you say "lead singer is a girl with red hair." They're like "Ohhh yeaaahh I know who she is." She's the most recognisable.
Majority of the time they check it out on youtube and listen to Paramore - and become a fan of Paramore. They're equally AMAZING! :D

I agree. But it makes sense that people would think that. When you think of Jimmy Eat World you think Jim Adkins. When you think of the Yeah Yeahs Yeahs you think Karen O. When you think Queen you think Freddie Mercury, and so on. As the lead singer of the band she has the weight of carrying the bands image and who they are. She's the face of Paramore, so that's why when you're friends hear Paramore they'll recognize it as Hayley Williams.
As to saying that the men in the band don't matter and she should go solo, that's so wrong. Even though she is the face of Paramore doesn't mean she makes up Paramore. Each member of the band contributes so much to the music they make.

As much as I dislike people's general ignorance as well, it's unfortunately pretty common. The lead singer of a band always gets more attention than the other members simply because of the fact that they're always at the forefront. It doesn't really help that Hayley's bright hair colours are the most distinguishable feature out of the whole band so that's what people will remember.
It annoys me that people think the band is just Hayley, and act like she doesn't even need the guys. Sure, it's easy to replace a drummer or guitarist, but that's not the point. If the guys all left you wouldn't get the chemistry that is Paramore, especially with Josh and Hayley being the songwriting team.

As much as I hate how people do so, its only logical. You see a picture of Paramore, 4 guys and a girl with bright red hair. Who will you most likley remember from that picture? The girl with the striking red hair obviously.
Front women, or just lead singers in general are always pointed out and are easily recognized. Besides that, she was featured in a song that won a Teen's Choice Award; the song Airplanes isnt B.o.B feat Paramore, its B.o.B feat Hayley Williams.

It's true you don't hear of important drummers or guitarists anymore just this singer or that singer all parts of music take talent and everyone deserves credit for a part in it's creation without the band Haley wouldn't have all the songs that Paramore have because they write the songs as a group.
Thank you! Somebody finally agrees with me! I hate it when people only acnowledge Hayley and not Zac, Jeremy,Taylor, and Josh! They are just as important as Hayley! Without them Paramore would not be the same. Don't get me wrong I love Hayley too, but Parmore is a BAND not just Hayley.
