Paramore's fourth album. Thoughts? Predictions?

  • Paramore's fourth album. Thoughts? Predictions?

     This is taken from the ROCK SOUND article on paramore: "Williams found herself thinking about Paramore's next album. No lyrics as of yet, but she tapped down a few thoughts about how she wants to approach the writing of what will at some point, be the band's fourth record... "I like the mystery, I like that the path is illuminated only as we are on it. I don't want to write another angry record, but at the same time that's where I get a lot of frustrations out so I can be a positive person, It's going to be real interesting for me lyrically." ... At the soundcheck just prior to this interview the four male members of Paramore finished their time onstage with an elaborate and elongated track more work-in-progress than nearly-completed. The jam was a mix of all the bands these five have been talking about for years: the lush repetitions of 'Clarity'-era Jimmy Eat World pulsed with the gradual builds and euphorics of the iconic Icelanders Sigur Rós. The mellow flow of recent tour partners Paper Route braced with hints of Bon Iver-esque charm and cut by the occasional dash of Radiohead at their most 'Amnesiac' "That's something we've been jamming on for a year," Davis admits. "Songs like 'Feeling Sorry' started the exact same way. ... The band toyed with it onstage, leading each other through melodies, tempos and turns as Rock Sound watched with perplexed intrigue. The same process that created 'Decode' (arguably) their biggest track to date, was now gestating something entirely related to, yet ultimately removed from anything Paramore has ever done before. If this piece, this plurality of ideas, coalesces into something that creates the foundation of album four, one thing is for certain; we are all in for a shock. ... "I feel like we could go anywhere next" Williams adds, "we've done 3 records, all very Paramore sounding. I feel like we've done this story with 3 amazing chapters, but now I feel like we could write a new book"" Also, on wikipedia it says something about 'Brainwashed' (2011). I don't know whether this could be true. So what do you guys think? :)

I've read Hayley want it to be a fun record. She wrote that on LJ. :)

I Think They Should Record The BNE Tour Intro..
Also The Miracle Outro.
They Should Release A B-Sides Album.. That Would Be AWESOME!!!

All paramore is briliant so I wouldn't spend time worrying about how it will sound just when it will hit shelves.

I posted this to another topic but I think this could help...

4TH ALBUM - PARAMORE

* Josh has stated that if they don’t get amazing touring opportunities/aren’t on tour, they will record in 2011, if not it will be 2012.
* Hayley is figuring out approaches to writing the lyrics for this album, foreshadowing a creative change.
* One song (instrumentally) has been completed and played at soundcheck. It is unknown if it will be on the album.
* Cover Art: None
* Expected Release: 2011/2012
* Confirmed Tracks: None
* Possible Tracks:
* Seven Years In The Making (outtake from Brand New Eyes, considering using it for future release)
* Take Me Back (old demo that they want to rerecord)
* The Brand New Eyes Tour intro (Hayley says she wants to record it)
* Miracle Outro
* The band has stated that they might want to rerecord songs from their debut to see how their sound has changed.
* Hayley has said via livejournal that she would love to do an acoustic/bside album.
* A 6 song ep may be in their future.
* Live DVD to be released with footage that has been stockpiled.

yep... that's all I know...

I've always wanted Paramore to recreate their demos (well not recreate them, but re-record them in a professional studio) as an album. I'd totally buy it. I don't use iTunes, so I'm sick of having to listen to crappy quality versions on Youtube.

I doubt that'll ever happen but a girl can dream.

LittleDecoy_7's picture

I have to agree and say that I have complete faith in them to do an AMAZING record as always. I can't wait!!

Kiira's picture

Oh and someone must have taken it off of Wikipedia cuz I can't find it

violet cullen's picture

Honestly? I dont really care what it's gonna be. I'm not gonna worry over it because I know I'll love it no matter what. :)

Kiira's picture

Oh and I agree about a live CD/DVD. I really think they should release one for BNE. The made one for Riot, which wasn't as successful as BNE so I think it only makes sense :/

Kiira's picture

I actually think paramore could keep touring more until they realease a new album. I mean to me it feels like BNE just came out even though I got it on the release date. But whatever Paramore has for us next im sure will be even better than BNE!

ParamoreISthebestband_2's picture

it'll probably be at the middle of 2011 or the begining of 2011.

awkif - june = 2 years =2005-2007
riot - bne = 2 years = 2007-2009
bne - new record = 2 years = 2009-2011

It reminds me of the new Flyleaf CD (amazing btw). And it excites me. I love the name Brainwashed. I'm hoping it will be better that the BNE CD. But I love love love loveee the name. ♥

I don't think they are advanced with a NEW album at all .as for thme having an.Album title?? you need the substance of your album for that and the best descriptions are what they are doing now on a new album INDICATE they only have a few ideas at best.

Remember here guys we are not even at the September 29 1 yr anniversary for BNE!!

Add to that a 2010 tour schedule still active taking them through November 20 ... any ideas they get will be on the road ( or air considering where they are going)

The MOST I see from Paramore this year is a possible video for "Playing God" If that single really shows up.

The One BRIGHT SPOT I see coming up is a LIVE DVD - that is the MOST LIKELY event to occur - Probably early new year but it could be pre Xmas...they so have plenty of concert film in the can.

I agree with Matt, I don't want to predict anything because it may turn into something else and then, I'll be disappointed. I totally LOVE all songs of Paramore, even the demos, so I don't care about how the next album will be 'cause I'm sure it'll be freakin' AWESOME like the other 3 :)

Rachel Fabuleux's picture

Anyone can edit wikipedia. It's probably removed by now.

I'll love whatever comes next.

MidnightFelicis97's picture

I'm not going to make any predictions or expectations.
I'll love whatever comes next.

I agree with MyHeartIsYours, the name 'Brainwashed' is a little bit shit.

Other than that: woot.

renegade_rach's picture

Wikipedia isn't very reliable so Brainwashed probably won't be the name of their fourth record. Besides I don't really like that name, I love anything that Paramore does but if their next album is a mix of AWKIF and Riot! but also adds something new to the mix we could have an amazing record, not that their other albums aren't awesome :)

Ginga Da Ninja ಠ_ಠ's picture

*Whoops, meant 'is' named that.

Ginga Da Ninja ಠ_ಠ's picture

I know that if the album name is "Brainwashed", a whole bunch of people will be like, "OH MY GOD PARAMORE IS SATAN!" but I think it's kind of a cool name. Wikipedia isn't very reliable, but if the album isn't named that, I won't be bothered at all! As for the actual album, I'm gal they're already starting to think about plans for it! I'm sure whatever happens, it's gonna rock and I'm gonna love them more than ever.

Half-Blood Nataly's picture

They haven't written the damn lyrics yet, I don't think they would have already come up with the album title...Plus, a bunch of Paramore fans have been writing their own names as who Jeremy's dating and who directed the Paramore music videos on Wiki...Oh, and that fucked up lie about them releasing Playing God on September 20 >.< Anyway, what I'm trying to say is don't believe anything unless one of the Paramore members or FBR or whatever confirms it :)

AmyParamore3's picture

I Think Brainwashed its bullshits, just like Paramore is a Satanic band, sorry but it kind of came out of nowhere.I already read that and seriously?! just wait they go to studio.But late 2011 its good

Muhahahaa's picture

All i know is: It's going to be f*cking awesome! :)

LydiaConspires's picture

Wiki isn't reliable, and I won't believe it's called "Brainwashed" (not a very good title imo) until the band confirms it.

I reckon it'll be the same kind of Paramore sound but more experimental, like they've kind of played it safe so far, so I think they'll branch out a little for the next record. I think we can expect them to release it late 2011.

greencereal's picture

i looked on wiki and i didn't see anything about brainwashed haha whatever
i'll take it whatever its called and however different or not different the sound is, only i'd like to be able to hear jeremy more on the album

Oscar_6's picture

I'm not sure "Brainwashed" has been confirmed, i've only seen it on Wiki and that's not exactly reliable.. All I know is that it's gunna be epic D:

MyHeartIsYours_12's picture

I'm not fond of "brainwashed" for an album name lol but I guess I could live with it cause I know it'd be awsome :) And I'm sure we are in for a shock... We always are. Each album is unique and different but still distinctly Paramore.... Can't wait for it though whatever it may be called :)
