We once had it at most recently active and switched over to newest. Both have their advantages and disadvantages.

dude, i never realised how many people write discussions
its awesome to think that there are SO many people that like paramore as much as me
and i like reading the newest discussions too
i dont know i guess its just my opinion

i like this set up, the newest on top then the most recently commented on moves up.....it works 4 me

@hil on your suggestion for a view into the posts other people have posted.
We are working on adding some functionality to a member's profile page that should help with this in the near future.
This way you would be able to click on a person's profile and see all their activity.

That will take us a little bit to sort out though.
In the meantime, it sounds like you prefer most recently active over newest post if it has to be one for now.
Having 2 different tabs would be cool that way those who prefer either style could have it their way! Plus a little thing where you can see the discussions that one person has posted would make it a lot easier to see what people have said on a discussion you posted instead of scrolling through all of the other discussions
same like the station switching 2 an outside broadcast from the regular programming
