I really hope they don't ignore AWKIF when they play at Liverpool or I will be very annoyed. I'm rather sick of them just catering to the new fans recently.
It just seems they have forgotten about the people that helped them get where they are now with our support during their early years. I'm not asking them to just completely play All We Know Is Falling, but some of their song choices live lately seem a bit shit, for example them playing Let The Flames Begin, come on, nobody really cares about that, that song time could be used to play Emergency or My Heart, which they haven't been playing lately.
I know they're going to have to play Misery Business and Ignorance and I can tolerate that, but Decode? Really? The only people that bum that song are the Twilight lovers, stop catering for them and cater for the actual fans that aren't going to get bored when the next fad comes along.
And don't get on my back with this crap about I should be happy whatever happens, because if you do, you have obviously never been in the position of loving a band and following them since the start, only to have them hit the mainstream and having the new kids start kissing the bands ass trying to tell you how great they are when you bloody know because you've been alongside them for years. It's quite frustrating.
I still love Paramore immensely, hence me going to see them again in Nov. but I may just have to take along a copy of the AWKIF album, with the words Remember this? written on it, and if they don't play any songs from the album, I will be launching it onto the stage for Hayley to pick up and have a read of.

I don't see how them 'catering new fans' could bother you. The more fans, the merrier.

I guess they could remember their old fans a bit more by playing My Heart again or Emergency. But, they do play Pressure, or Here We Go Again, or another song. For instance, on their Honda Civic Tour they've been playing Brighter? That was never a single so it shows that they wanna please everyone at the same time. They still use livejournal, which is to stay in touch with those fans that have been there from the start.
I have liked them since AWKIF, but in my opinion since they had a bigger budget and more experience obviously Riot was gonna be a better record and consequently BNE. They wanna play high energy concerts, and have a blast so if they play songs that generally everyone loves and can have fun with, then they will.
Let the Flames Begin, alot of people do actually like that song. And yes, Twilighters may like Decode but just as it happens, it's a pretty damn good song as well.

I agree and disagree lol! I love AWKIF its actually probably my favourite paramore album though the other two are brilliant aswell! I went to see them in December and was really sad they didnt play my heart but that was the BNE tour and it was them promoting BNE! They played here again in June and played whoa, brighter etc.. so they arent forgetting their old fans at all. But Let the flames begin is a good song! So is decode! And if you think im only saying that because i only like them since twilight your wrong. I loved paramore since riot! Then i bought AWKF and then when it came out BNE

Well, one thing i disagree with is the fact you say Decode is only for Twilight lovers. I must disagree. I cannot STAND Twilight, and i've know Paramore since AWKIF, and that song is intense, amazing lyrics and all. Paramore doesn't have another song like that. And, Let The Flames Begin? That song has a powerful intro/outro, and pumps the audience everytime i go to see them (which has been ALL of their tours).
Songs that aren't worth playing, Paramore won't play. Of course, all of their songs are amazing, but you have to understand concerts are usually 1 and a half to two hours..not five. If a tour is titled, THE BNE TOUR they're obviously going to play more of their recent songs, while Honda Civic -it being promotional- tey'll play a bit of everything.
A real, true fan grows with the artist and will let the artist take them wherever they choose. AWKIF is their beginning, and they will never stop playing it, i can assure you of that.
unterstood. i like them since thier second album "riot" came out and i get mad that ever since twilight others have started to say they like them oonly because twilight had them play one song. you should like them because of their style not because some teenage vampire movie has it as thier theme song. AWKIF is not bad at all, they need to promote themselves i just hope they dpnt turn out as J.B and do it everyday.

But i think that they have progressed so far since then - not that AWKIF is at all bad, because its really not - but i think that their new albums are their priorities, because they need to promote those new albums for them to become as known as they are today. True, they dont play as many songs from AWKIF, but i think that as they play the 'main' songs from that album, they are in a way thanking those fans that got them here today. And, LTFB is an immense song - its beautiful, in fact.
Although, agreed. Twilight fans who only know the one song should really go home and educate themselves before attending a paramore event, and not knowing any paramore songs :/ BUT whether people like it or not, you can't deny that Decode boosted Paramore's fan base hugely.
and when i saw them, they played the good old songs like Here We Go Again, Emergency, Pressure, etc. but My Heart is a definate song they need to play more.

humm, i see ur point they don't really play that much of AWKIF anymore but with three albums to choose from its gunna be hard to pick... plus after just realesing BNE it would get mno promotion if they didn't play it. personally i love LTFB, its one of my favouirite and i see what you mean about Decode,it would be an amazing song if it weren't for all the twilight fan girls loving it and only knowing that song... so annoying, just coz u know one song doesn't mean ur a big fan
I agree to an extent. But Paramore are one of the only bands that stay true to themselves and their fans. And they are currently promoting BNE not AWKIF. I LOVE everything about AWKIF and they still play some of their founding songs. BUT that isn't what they are promoting at the moment and by playing two or three old songs at their shows, they are catering for older fans.
p.s Don't hate on LTFB... That is major musical art and an amazing song...

I agree with you on Decode. At Soundwave, when they played it... it... just made me SO angry because thats the only song most of the people sang along too. The other day I asked someone if they liked Paramore and they said 'Yes, I LOVE them! I love Decode! Its so good!' and the only song they know is Decode.

i dissagree. ive loved paramore because of all we know is falling. even though i became a fan in 2007, it wasnt from riot, it was from awkif. paramore is constantly telling everyone about how great their AWKIF fans are, and they still play songs like pressure and emergency.

Still, I'm pretty sure the band's been playing songs from AWKIF during the world tour. I can remember they played Pressure while in Auckland, NZ. I can't remember if there's others from the first album they played because I didn't know the original songs.
And don't be hatin' on Decode, man. Decode's what got me interested in Paramore and I'm not a die-hard Twilight fan.
But, however, I can feel where you're coming from. It's kinda the same situation with the game World of Warcraft, really. I've been playing it for quite a while, pretty much since the beginning, and Blizzard's been kinda doing the same thing these days, really.
But you have to understand that Paramore IS promoting Brand New Eyes, not Riot! or All We Know Is Falling. It makes sense to play mostly BNE songs during the concerts.
That said, you've also gotta realize that they ARE still playing AWKIF songs, too. Although songs like My Heart and Emergency wouldn't hurt :D
They played Emergency, Conspiracy & Pressure on the BNE tour in Glasgow (: They're obviously going to play more songs from BNE album than any other because that's the album they're currently promoting.
However, I am disappointed they don't play My Heart that much anymore :( the AWKIF album is my favourite so I agree that they should play more from that album, but I understand why they didn't for the BNE tour (:
They performed 'Emergency' during the BNE tour. and I believe that they performed 'Never let this go' also during the BNE tour. 'Brighter' and 'Pressure' i know that they are playing during this tour ( the spring tour). i was a little upset because they didnt do the pressure flip =( at the 2 concerts that i went too. but during the BNE tour, they played 'conspiracy' and 'crush crush crush'. so they have been playing some older stuff, but i would like to see more stuff along the lines of 'franklin' maybe once in a blue moon. and def. 'my heart'. i know they also played 'woah' during the spring tour. which i was thrilled for. i would love to see them perform 'all we know' it'd be nice.

I kind of agree. Ive been a fan since 06 and I love there old stuff. LTFB is amazing live so I'd say keep that in the set,Besides all the screaming twlight fan girls/boys Decode is great too. But I do agree they need to play more AWKIF songs live.

First off, I want to say that I totally agree with what you have to say MyLittleDecoy. I've been a fan since I first heard Paramore. I am a huge fan, and I have been to many concerts. Don't get me wrong, I love Brand New Eyes. But, I would still rather hear stuff from AWKiF. I disagree with you believing that they shouldn't play Let the flames begin, though. Honestly it is an amazing song. Decode is one of my favorites, on a CD though. Live, ehh it's never as good. They performed that during the BNE tour, and now the Spring Tour, I honestly got a little fed up with it myself. I am so happy that you posted this though ;) I despise people who listen to Paramore only because of Twilight or because of the song Airplanes. Don't get me wrong, I am a Twilight fan, and a fan of the song Airplanes, but I cannot stand people who jump on the bandwagon just because their popular. They weren't there when Paramore started like we were. So, I really hope they perform some more AWKiF during the Honda Civic Tour. If not, I will be just as pissed off as you. lol
