Zac and Josh left for reasons that they may or may not want to share. It's not up to us to speculate, and it really isnt any of our business.
The only thing that is important is the fact that Paramore is (still) a Band. And we will still love them the way we loved them before. . . because of their music.

You will not ever get a unedited explanation here. This website is a Paramore website. Josh and Zac quit so they are no longer involved in the band in any aspect.
I doubt the record company and Paramore management will allow any statement to be made with out their review of it. Paramore is still a whole corporation that knew they were leaving for months and never told us about their departure for a reason. Maybe they hoped they would change their minds, but at the same rate they are and will protect Paramore from losing Fan base.
So in my opinion Josh and Zac quiting the band will be treated just as any other corporation would handle a top official leaving. They decide to leave and they are out 100% and cut off from any and all access to any thing company related eliminate collateral damage of the Corporations (Paramore's) future.

this (the departure) is not the first time this has happened! other bands have lost members too. ryan ross and jon walker left panic at the disco. lynn strait of snot was killed in a car crash. infinitely other bands have broken up, kicked out members, members have left or been killed, etc. this isn't a new occurrence

my opinion, for what it's worth
music is a lifestyle. if your lifestyle isn't working for you and its within your power to change it, go for it. it works the same way that if the music isn't working for you, and its in your power to change it, you can. yeah? so zac and josh's lifestyles have been based on this music, as well as every other musician in the history of forever, and when they don't feel this music any longer, it most certainly is within their power to change their lifestyle (yes i know i'm repeating myself. no comment). so that's what they've done. zac's changed music styles, hasn't he? and josh has gone to pursue his family life. but i'm sure everyone already thought that and i've just decided to waste everyone's time writing what they've thought already hahaha

But we can't expect them to come out with it straight away. It's not our choice to find out when they will make a statement. And quite frankly, its none of our business.

I agree with @music - Paramore fans are so die-hard, that we deserve a little bit. Maybe not an apology, but a heartfelt statement that acknowledges the passion and commitment of their fans. Because in the end, if there were no fans, there wouldn't be much of a band. I think we help feed their spirit and acknowledge that they have true talent. To that end, we deserve something. I'm just not sure what it is....

I think it was a little awkward for everyone in the band.
The following is strictly my opinion and I'm stating everything in a respectful way: parental discretion is advised. (that last part was a joke..har)
I agree with you about the whole getting mad because they aren't apart of Paramore anymore. If their paths lead them else where, so be it. I just hate the way it was..done and how everyone found out. Sure, we're not owed an explanation but at least respect your fans enough to make serious announcements like that more personal. I was completely cool with all of this until I found out about these other bands and I would have been fine with that as well had I not seen Hayley's tweets. Maybe I was jumping to conclusions and this was a shitty day for her just because. but i can't help but think the worse. Everything is just happening too fast.
I don't care about the what's, when's and why's. That aspect has nothing to do with us. But we are fans. We do love them. We do invest so much time, money, love, and energy on them. I feel (note i said feel. I'm not claiming this as gospel truth) like zac and josh didn't care enough.
i hope what i'm saying is making sense. i KNOW they have lives outside of this. im just saying that stuff should have been better explained on their part cause right now it looks like zac and josh left the rest of the guys hanging and that would just be so fucking sad if that were true.
again, this is just my opinion. if people don't agree, i'd rather you not jump down my throat or whatever. i'm just as in the dark as you are. this is just my perspective.
fyi: yes i do know that the 3 knew they were leaving, but it seems as if they didn't know about the joining-new-bands part.

I can't wait to see their new album! They will probably have a bunch of rock songs of going their separate ways.
