I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy.
While many find happiness in the downfall of someone who caused our country so much pain, I can't help but feel like we're just as bad as he was. Sure we didn't terrorize, but we did storm into their country, destroy their land, and take away thousands of lives, including our own, just trying to find him. I think now is not a time to celebrate, but to remember.
Sorry for the late comment, but I saw this I felt I needed to say something. Thank you.
@EvWsox
Oh, don't give me that. I'm aware of the fact that people are deported because they're here illegally, but it's not as if they can become a citizen as soon as they enter the country.
And stop referring it all to Mexicans. Not every spanish-speaking-tan-person you see is a Mexican. So get it straight.
@Herson Madrid
People can have their opinions about him all the want and I'm not saying he's the greatest president we've ever seen, but he's certainly trying his best.
@EvWsox
Are you kidding me? Obama's doing the best job he can with this flaming piece of shit that was left for him to clean up. When Obama came into office everything was such a mess and it's not completely perfect yet or even remotely so, but the imperfections are far from his fault, let alone things he can easily fix. He's honestly doing his job to the best of his ability. I know all presidents and government figures feel the pressure but especially him. He's put through so much scrutiny because he's our first black president and is the ass of so many jokes because of it. Everyone wants him to meet some high, godly standards but the man is still only human.
We do have high immigration numbers, indeed. But you see, not every single person is here. If America was a perfect dream like you've made it out to be, every single person breathing on this earth would come rushing here and would live here without problem. A lot of people pass our borders but it's not even close to having the largest population.
We're not some almighty country. There are so many places just as good and better, and just because we make America out to be some land of the free, home of the brave full of liberty and integrity doesn't mean any of those things are really true.
sometimes i get the impression that american think that every country in the worlds have the USA in their minds as the "best" country in the world.
However, most people in europe dont think that. if you ask these people, with 90% pf them, the conversation would go like this:
-do you think the usa is a safe place?
-of course not 0_0
-do you think it is a clean country?
-no
-do you believe the political system is better in the usa than in most countrys in europe?
-hell no
obviously these questions bring a lot to think of, however few people think the usa is a great country. its a big country so, obviously, there are a lot of diversity and there are more chances for someone to fit in, if they decided to immigrate to the usa.
Personaly, i have visited some usa cities (NYC, LA,Seattle) and visited some european countries and i must say that although there are great stuff that i like more in the usa ,to visit, if i was asked if i wanted to live in europe or usa i would choose europe.
spain is better than usa, france is better than usa, italy is better than usa, sweden is better than usa, denmark is better than usa, and so on.
obviously though, USA is better than any arabic world country, because of their extremism and religious fanatism. i just made this comment because i am often surprised by americans that think (they really believe in that) that their country is the best to live. sad, very sad.
umm? well sure, there are gonna be people that want to be here and people that don't. but actually all of the immigrants that are deported are deported because they are here illegally. most everyone that comes here respecting out laws gets to stay and become good American citizens. and killed? people die. its not like we are just killing Mexicans left and right. and just about everyone who starts a life in America or any other country for that matter starts out pretty much broke. and with college loans and a mortgage and payment on a car and etc... and yes, immigrants do have it harder because they don't necessarily have a family in the country to build of of or to fall back on. but they know that when they come here and most of them are fine with that because they honestly want to be here.
@EvWsox
About that whole immigration thing..... The only reason why they really do come here is for a better life in general. But when they DO get here, (if they even do), half of the time they're either killed, completely broke or immediately deported.
So they don't always get what they wanted out of the deal. To be honest, a lot of them think it sucks. Not everyone wants to live in the US. That's why there are so many people who rebel against the government.
I just doesn't feel right to me to be happy about someone's death ... I'm sad that it was necessary to kill someone to get safety. I understand that people are relieved but it takes a lot more than killing Osama Bin Laden to solve the problems this world has ...
listen. i apologized for making that assumption of you. it was unfair and obviously wrong of me.
and about everyone not wanting to live here. do you not know that the US has one of if not THE highest immigration rate in the world? and that's just the official number, not even counting all the ILLEGAL immigration that goes on. so yeah.... i have no problem saying that a whole lot of people think that they'd be better off in the US and make the choice to come here cuz it sure as hell is better then Mexico or the middle east or Greece or any number of other countries that are going down the tubes.
i do however agree with you that America does have lots of problems. and i think that Obama aint really doing much to help them with all of is spending. he has racked up more debt in two years then every president behind him put together and that just flat out embarrasses me that our country could be so reckless and stupid. i think though, that the basic principals, values and people of the US are generally and most of the time good and that we ARE "the best freaking country the world has ever seen". sadly, that might not be saying much anymore though :/

Emicia119,
and
I thought all spanish-speaking-tan-people were from Spain.
Doh!
@ M|atthew
I think I might be just a little darker then that.
@ Emicia119
I have that same problem, I'm pale this time A year. But by the end of summer I will be super dark.
I'm tan. Well not really. I've actually gotten pretty pale lately. But whatever.
Oh and I'm not Mexican.
My family's from Guatemala.
Pshh, people these days.
@Herson
:') Sure.
@Ross
Except that 80% of what I say is humour in one way or another.
I'm very rarely serious.
@Herson
You're practically african!
@ M|atthew
Caught Tan handed?
@M|atthew
I wasn't really sure if humour was a concept you quite grasped, thus the statement. My bad.
@Ross
Inappropriate humour is clearly lost on you.
@M|atthew
How is he "clearly" Mexican?
@Herson
You're clearly mexican.
@ violet cullen
Amen Sister!
:D
@EvWsox
I'm tan and I'm not from Mexico.
I'm from Nicaragua.
@EvWsox

I couldn't agree more!
I'm so tired of people say stupid stuff they don't know anything about.

"M|atthew says (4 hours ago)

Grow the fuck up.
Dont want to get involved then don't.
Stop being a child, it's a grown ups topic. "
what was the part of my comment that was childish? (i see, you didnt like that interview style part, sry then)
@EvWsox
Your country is not the best country the world's seen.
Hate to break it to you.

end of arguements!!!

EvWsox,
I might be the only one but,
I don't want to live in the USA.
I feel like none of us are going to see each other side.
So lets not get to worked up about it.
I just doesn't feel right to me to be happy about someone's death ... I'm sad that it was necessary to kill someone to get safety. I understand that people are relieved but it takes a lot more than killing Osama Bin Laden to solve the problems this world has ...
lol, trolls... all i gotta say is that i'm a bit more relieved, but kinda afraid of a replication from al-qaeda.
USA USA USA USA USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
