Hey everyone,
I'm going to a Paramore concert at the O2 Arena, and it will be the first time I'll be going to a concert with this genre of music, and I'm a bit worried about how they are, since I've heard from some people that they're quite rough? If you've been to a Paramore concert before could you comment what it was like please? Thanks :]
Saw them at the Liverpool Echo, November 10th 2010 and they were absolutely amazing - one of the best nights of my life!
They are AMAZING!
really good! i think when they say its rough they are just very sesitive
I saw Paramore in 2008 during the Riot! tour!
Honestly, it was an amazing experience. They're so great live, and it's funny to see them interacting/joking with each other. You can tell they're true friends.
It's truly something you'll never forget.
I've only been once (only time they came to my city) which was October last year. I don't know what they'd mean by rough but it really was a great show. They sound awesome live, even better than you'd expect, and the show was just brilliant.
It was the first concert I'd ever been to so I don't have much to compare it too, but I'm pretty sure everyone else loved it too. Everyone was singing along and just loving the whole atmosphere. I was still buzzing the next day.
That nite make me ROCK N AMAZING!!
I've only seen Paramore live once and that was at last summers Reading festival. They were really good and their show's have a lot of energy in them. Only one thing I found was sometimes it was hard to hear Hayley sing but otherwise your in for a fun night!
i was at the barrier at newcastle on 18th november and it wasnt that bad. i mean, working my way to the front was harder, cause if you're like five rows from the front you usually get the worst of it! and apparently its pretty bad if you're small, because all you can smell is sweat, haa. but its amazing! i know this was posted a while ago, so i'm guessing you've been to the concert? how was it?
@thereisonlymiserybuisness haaa you said it all really!
Oh my word, it is literally the best experience in the whole world, it will blow you brains!
Seen Paramore 4 times and although queuing is a nightmare, fans are completely crazy and the bashing about you get in the crowds is bordering GBH..its all totally worth it. theyre the only band id go through that for :D
One of the things that makes Paramore concerts special is the incredible energy from the fans. Even at the very back of the venue, most of the crowd seems to know the lyrics to every song, and every turn of every notes. Through some inexplicable magic, the fans somehow become one with the band and the band feeds on this energy and delivers it back. It is a very emotional experience.
You witness about 2% of this experience watching the videos from the recent topic about the holiday shows: http://www.paramore.net/forums/paramore-at-the-jingle-ball-full-performa...
(The New York and Seattle videos are both excellent.)
I've had 2 experiences. Glasgow 09 where I was standing but outside of the mega crowd cause my friend hates enclosed spaces but was awesome cause of huge stage and screens, could still se everything and dance.
In November in Aberdeen we went pretty close to the front and every single person standing got completely squished but it was epic! By the end of it I was roasting, squished, sore and had no voice - loved every minute of it (and I'm only 5'3 if even).
Have to say arena was half the size of Glasgow but crowd was twice as loud :)
@paraoli97
they are rough...the front is always rough at most gigs as people start moshing or charging.
nah theyre not rough, the roughest you'll getr is a tiny circle pit. ive been to concerts like KoRn and bullet for my valentine and im 13 so you should be fine,
PS- I'm very tiny. 5ft tall so I always made sure to have some big friends come to keep me alive lol
Ya it really depends on where you're positioned @ the concert. If you're the kind who loves to go in the pit- then yes, it will get rough. If there is seating then you should be alright. But ya, I've been to 8 Paramore concerts already and I've always tried to make sure that I found my way to the front of the pit and that will ALWAYS be very rough. If you're going with friends- have the big/tall people protect you and stand behind. If not- try to find people at the concert to blend in with and stick with them to keep yerself protected :-p .
There have however been times where the pit would just get too insane and I had to ask for the security guys up front to pick me up and take me out of the pit, so I lost my front row spot :'( .
But I still very much enjoyed it in the back because my pals came with me and I was able to record the entire show from the back.
Amazingwowawesomegreat!
both o2 shows were epic!
the first time i ever thought it was rough was at Wembley 09 but that was nothing compared to o2...people went a bit extreme...whatever happened to mosh pit etiquette....
fractured a rib :-D
o2 were the best gigs ever!
Best Night of my life... by far...
One word - EPIC!
AMAZING!!!! Every day i think about the concert best DAY EVER!!!!
Best concerts I've ever been to!
Last time I went, I was in the higher tier, but at least I was there, in the same room right? :D
This year i'm in Standing (mosh pit) at the Liverpool Echo on 1oth Nov, can't wait :] I'm 15 and about 5'2/5'3 btw, so thanks for the making this group, i feel a bit more assured with the comments, I was a bit worried at first, but it doesn't seem that bad apparently after the 'RUN TO THE FRONT' stage,
The crowd is amazing, and when they played 'The only exception' everyone had their phone out lit up, so i can't wait to see that from the bottom ;D
Charleyy x
Paramore gigs are amazing, words can't describe the ones i've been too!!
I've seen them both seated (as i was too young to stand at the time) and I saw them standing last year, and it was my first ever standing gig. I was in the 2nd row and there was a bit of pushing and it was abit surreal when they came on stage 'cause your so close to them, its an OMG feeling. But apart from the pushing it was fine..just a couple of bruises. You'll love it!! x
If you are in the mosh pit you will get a bit banged up and sweaty but its not the worst thing in the world. Paramore concerts are fantastic. Scream along, jump up and dpwn and for an hour and a half pretend you are Hayley :-) So much fun.
Paramore Concerts are Beyond AMAZING!
they're not that bad...it's not as crazy in seats as in the pit though. they're AMAZING and don't be afraid to scream out the words...it'll probably be your only chance. p.more are fabulous perfomers and i promise you'll LOVE it!!
@Matt, not just red heads want that. *cough*.
There's nothing too serious to worry about (: Sure, it'll be super squeshed and you feel like you won't be able to breathe without being a giraffe, but once Paramore come on stage you forget all the uncomfortable pushing and shoving! Although, people ALWAYS drop like flies. Whether or not it's due to exhaustion, dehydration, too hot, they always do and have to be dragged out. Try to avoid that!
Once Paramore come on stage, if you're at the barrier, you're ribs might get a bit bruised with all the "OMGZITSPARAMOREHOLYFCKGOGOGOGO!". Keep calm, and just have fun. If people shove you, shove them back!
