When the performance started I was super excited then slowly I became disappointed because I realized they were singing "The Only Exception". On top of that it was in the middle of the song.I mean some of the other performances were unecessary. It could have been so much better!

I'm impressed. Even though Paramore haven't won the nominations, they still get to perform live anyway. I loved that!
Agreed..huge disappointment with the production..paramore F*ing rocks but they weren't really allowed to show who they are..they should have been able to do a song or performance that showcased them and only exception gave a small idea if what they can do..thier fans know what there about though so w/e
Definitely wish their performance was longer. Would Hayley and Paramore have performed better if so? I dunno. Performing The Only Exception was just not right for the VMAs. They should have rocked out, considering they are a "rock band". Hayley with BoB- that was her first performance with him and she only really had so much practice time, so that's understandable. But ya, to add Bruno Mars to that in the beginning was just unnecessary. He only had a couple seconds and that just killed the other two songs really. But ya, that performance was really just something for BoB it seemed. Three different artists and only 1 main focus. So that sucked. Oh wells. Love you Paramore. See you on the 19th!!!
To be honest i was a bit dissapointed. I wish they did a different song, so then the guys could get more into it, and people could get a taste of how amazingly and crazy they can get when performing live. I wish they did a whole song, but atleast they performed. And dont mean to be rude, i loved hayleys dress- but her outfit on stage was really weird :/
But they are amazing and i am seeing them next month so who cares!? haha :D

I think the song choices (for B.o.B and Paramore) were popular songs, and waayyyy to short. The reason why Paramore played "The Only Exception" was because it made it quite far into the charts. Likewise with B.o.B and Bruno Mars, its a bit cheeky to ask the bands and artists to come down, take time out of their busy touring schedules and play for 30 seconds..........not worth it.......
I honestly didn't like it at all, I thought they would be doing a full song not 30 seconds of 1 song. I love Hayley but there should have been more focus on the guys the whole performance was "The Hayley Williams and B.O.B show".
Like everybody else is saying, I wish it could have been longer, showed the guys, and played something more rockish. Honestly, if I didn't know how amazing they were already, I wouldn't have thought they were all that great by the performance... :(

it was crap :(, mtv focuses on pop and all this stupid "music" with all this autotune. if you notice that all the other performers lip sang, and paramore actually sang, well hayley at least. im really disappointed, they shoulda sung careful. 20 seconds of a song that doesnt even describe them as a band doesnt count. very disappointed.
Hayley never dissapoints but i wish they could have showcased more of their own material, they deserve the stage for themselves!!

Well, yea all vma performances are short but it was still good. they are still better at their own concerts though. I think Hayley seems alot more comfortable singing to her fans and paramore family than singer to random celebs
the hayley williams show was great.
i COMPLETELY agree @ToxicPink!! their performance was amazing, but the guys needed more attention, i wish they could've played something more "rock" :\
