i will have to say twilight if i had to pick between them but if this was what book series i would say the mortal instruments all the way in my mind it is a step up from twilight.

Okay, I really honestly have to say Twilight!
The Twilight Saga is what got me into reading! And I don't know how to explain it, it's got a special place in my heart.

I'm currently on the last book in the Harry Potter series, and couldn't love it more! It's next in line to The Twilight Saga, definatly! It's more professionally written, too.
