what do you think about all the songs on Brand New Eyes?
and which song is your favorite?
this is what i think:
1. careful: this one is good, it's very 'rock'. It was a good choice to put it first at the CD (i think) 'cus it's really Paramore style
2. ignorance: OMG!! i love this song. it's a bit 'black'. but the lyrics are very, very good. it's the best headbang-song of BNE.
3. playing god: this one is chill!! if i'm angry and i play this song, i come back calm.
4 brick by boring brick: this is my favorite!!! it let me think at a fairytale, and fairytales are sweet and cute. sometimes is the song happy and sometimes it's sad. i can't say which of the two. but i love the lyrics and the guitar. it's kinda magic to me.
5. turn it off: maby this one is my favorite to!it's nice. but this song is very ...i can't find a word to describe but it made my think about suicide :( .
6. the only exception: this is soooo delicate!! it's a bit slow, but it makes me think about the people i love. Hayley's voice is very beautiful in this song. (and it isn't hard to sing, i can sing it kinda beautiful, and i'm a bad singer)
7. feeling sorry: it's a good song. the lyrics are good (but not superior) but they repeat it much. but i like it at all.
8. looking up: i think this is about there famous life and there almost breaking up-period. it makes me soo happy!! when this song is playing i keep jumping and dancing around my room. it's cool
9. where the lines overlap: this is the most happy song on the CD. it's not the normal paramore- style. but i like it to. this song shows they are also good in other kinds of music.
10. misguided ghosts: this is very delicate... it made me think about the book the host (stephenie meyer). if i'm tired and i listen to this song i fall asleep. it's a lullaby for me
11. all i wanted: this isn't my favorite. I don't love this song. this is the only song i don't like from BNE. (i think i dont like the lyrics, just the sentence 'all i wanted was you'. but the giutar and drum is nice.)

Careful: It fits for an opener. it really starts it off right
Ignorance: I could really relate to the lyrics, but I played it out for myself haha It's still great though
Playing God: Musically, everything works together. Should be the next single IMO
Brick By Boring Brick: This is such a huge song. Zac's skills are really highlighted here and I love how it tells a story.
Turn It Off: One of my favorites. I don't know why. It's probably one of my favorites to listen to because it all just fits.
The Only Exception: I remember listening to the album on here and immediately I stoked to here it. Off the bat I loved it because I'm a sucker for acoustic songs. Beautiful lyrics.
Feeling Sorry: This is probably my least favorite although I love the lyrics in the bridge. I don't know it just doesn't work that well with me.
Looking Up: The song placement irritates me because tracks 7 and 8 begin too much in the same way. But it's a great song about what they've overcome.
Where the Lines Overlap: I love the fact that Josh sings with Hayley, their voices compliment each other. This song is like a toned down Born For This haha
Misguided Ghosts: I really like it. It gets you thinking about life and inspires you to become more independent.
All I Wanted: I kind of disregarded this song at first but eventually I loved it. Obviously, a great song if you're trying to prove that Hayley has chops. However, the lyrics confuse me in the second verse especially. If someone could help that'd be cool haha
Like I said I get it, how the spotlight is always on her and whatever I still think it's stupid. I hate pseudo intellectual music videos. Music and all it's related forms are purely emotive art forms, yes there's all that math and some very technical styles of music, but they all are intended to evoke a certain emotional response. To make us feel. Don't try to condescend to me, it never ends well.
@McQueen, it's obvious that the imagery in the video is lost on you.
It is clever and it is good. It's pretty inspired tbh, i was shocked when i saw it. No, that's not me with low expectations. In comparison to an abnormally large number of music videos with "meaning" Ignorance is way up there with the obvious meaning and the not so obvious meaning.

2. ignorance: was not a fan. I especially hate the video, it's so stupid. No one try to explain it to me cuz I get it, it's just not clever or good.
3. playing god: I love Hayley tryin to act tough with that whole "I'll bend your finger back and break it off" when it's obvious she's no daisy at all.

11. all i wanted: I like this song and for some reason when she does the "oh oh" part it makes me think she just ate tuna. Which makes me like it more. I have strange likes.
Careful: When I listen to this song, it makes me think about making things you usually don't do, so, it's powerful and strong.
Ignornace: What to say? Coolest Paramore song ever! I mean, listen to it. It's so perfect. "We used to stuck together, we wrote our names in blood".
Playing god: This is such a smart song! "Next time you point your finger, I might have to bend it back or break it-break it off". Brilliant!
Brick by boring brick: Cutest song ever, but cruel in its own way. Just love it!
Turn It Off: My favourite right now. It's very strong and make me think about so many things.
The Only Exception: Sweet Paramore! So sweet. "I've got a tight grip of reality.." really takes the song to a higher level.
Feeling Sorry: It's a good song, but not the best. Still love it tho.
Looking Up: OHHHH! It's about that their break-up. Love this song!
Where the lines overlap: So happy song, fun to hear!
Misguided ghosts: Relaxing, and wonderful, and calm.
All I wanted: I love when Hayley is screaming out her voice in this song. Lovely. Perfection.

Ignorance: Oh yeah. Ignorance is one of my favourite. You're right, the best headbang-song :D.
Playing God: This song makes me very thoughtful. It is a really beautiful song. I love it.

I like all the songs on the BNE album and my fovorite is probably Careful. I love Zac's drumming in the song. I think that All we know is falling is probably their best album. It's more of a raw heavy sounding album.
i have the same opinion,but ignorance is the most favourite for me!
and all i wanted is my favourite too because lyrics and guitar are very beautiful,and hayley's voice is amazing!in this song i can understand that hayley's voice is very strong and beautiful!
but my favourite album is RIOT! but BNE is done more professionally.

i love every paramore's song, also this album is great. but i so sad when i listen for example misguided ghost. beautiful lyrics, so real..
I feel like most of the songs on this album is sad and I can't listen to it all the time because I'd rather listen to Riot more.
bne is my favorite album by far. i really like that they took risks with it by playing two really soft slow songs, and a couple that aren't typical "paramore" (if there is such a thing). i love everything they did with it, it's strong all the way through, and every song has a paramore-y feel that ties it all together. plus, there is a progression of anger to happiness which i also thought was cool; kind of mirrored the last year with the band.
i like all i wanted, but next to the flow of the rest of the album, i think it could have been placed better? it doesn't really fit as the last song, but neither does misguided ghosts, so i dunno. i love all the songs. nough said.
I love every song on the album, my all time favourite songs EVER, are, pressure, conspiracy, and my heart, because they're the first i heard, and the songs that made me fall in love way back, but, this album has definatly shown a better more mature, yet still AMAZING, paramore, they've learn new techniques that makes their music better, and i love BNE, just as much as i do RIOT!, and AWKIF, bar those 3 songs.
BNE is amazing, my fav song atm has to be where the lines overlap =) i totally argee with u about playing god!
I like all of them, but i prefered RIOT!
I actually love every song on this album equally I think it's their best album so far.
