black sabbath, electric wizard, pod people, try, turisas, manegarm, death, nile, burzum, emperor, ne obliviscaris, trepalium...i've been listening to metal my whole life. one of the first bands i ever got into was morbid angel.
bullet for my valentine is not metal it is crap
you just named three of my favorite bands. I also LOVE Nightwish.
i also love metal bands like slapshock and slipknot!!!.... and mudvayne....!!!! awesome!!! and bullet for my valentine!!! tears dont fall!!!

avenged sevenfold, as i lay dying, bullet for my valentine, funeral for a friend, atreyu, some metallica, killswitch engage etc
though i dont know if some of those are counted as death metal? or nah?
not really, i like the odd metal song, the odd metallica, i have a few pantera songs. but thats it :)

i've been listening recently to slipknot, bring me the horizon, and avenged sevenfold
some metal bands i listen to are pantera, mastodon, & metallica but not a lot
i love btbam a lot, which is a death metal band
and some other deathmetal/metalcore type bands i listen a little are necrophagist, cynic, killswitch engage, all that remains...
