I don't really care for them. I think I only like one song by them, Clocks, but that's only really because of the piano. but i don't exactly hate them.
I don't know why people make topics about how they hate a band. You can hate of them of course, I don't care, but if you hate them, don't make posts about it. Leave them to the people that likes the band instead.
I'm sure people would be angry if someone wrote "I hate Paramore" in a Coldplay discussion. Just saying.
(Be sure to test out your iTunes Festival streaming setup ahead of time on iTunes... I had a lot of trouble getting it to work properly yesterday during the MCR concert.)

1. Their songs are very rich. I mean, have you payed attention to the instrumental part of them? It sounds like heaven. Very well composed and played. Plus: the lyrics match with the instruments in a perfect way. you can feel what the song is about, either when you pay attention to the lyrics or only the instruments.
2. They make sense. And they're very mature.
How many songs you've heard from them? 5? A few singles? Oh c'mon. You can't judge an artist for that. Try to listen A Rush Of Blood To The Head and Parachutes (both are cds) if you have time and if you're interested. Probably you're not, but give them another try, dude.
Anyway, musical taste is a very personal thing. So... you're right to hate them and I'm right to love them, it's our musical taste and no one can change that, right? (:

I don't listen to them a lot, 'cause they kinda of make me feel depressed somehow, but some of their songs are really good.
I actually love Coldplay.
They're not bad.
They have quite a few good songs but some of their stuff is weird. Fix You is their best song in my opinion.
