    Tell that to them and their families.

    We killed 1 man. How many thousands has he killed and how many more will now die in his name?

    Yeah. Jail wouldn't have lead to anything like this, they'd spend their time trying to break him out rather than go on rampages against innocent people.

nobody deserves to die.

Yes, I do see yur point and I do for the most part agree with it.
But Like I said before if another big event happens like The London Bombings or the attacks like the world trade center the United States government is once again going to be out for blood.

When has the united states been peaceful when they are attacked first? And also like what @Isabel said if he were captured he would have been sentenced with the death penalty. Like what happened with Saddam Hussein.

violet cullen's picture

This is only the beginning of it all. His death is just going to fuel revenge from Al Qaeda and cause who knows what else.

MidnightFelicis97's picture

@Isabel
It depends on what state he'd be tried in, it'd be unintelligent to hold him in pakistan wouldn't it?

Isabel_3's picture

This issue is just going to escalate. I agree, he should've been imprisoned but it would've been a lot more complicated. He would have to be tried, which would've most likely resulted in the death penalty. His execution would most likely have resulted in the same violence that's going on now. It would've taken a few years for him to have been executed though.

I might add though that I'm not a supporter of the death penalty at all.

@Herson
Mhm.
Do you know what our country was talking about the week before last?
Whether or not we could have done more in the London bombings.
That was about 5 or 6 years ago now.
You learn from mistakes, everyone does.
Maybe now in the future in another case like this they'll look back and think "Killing Bin Laden lead to a huge uprising and one of the worst wars the Earth's ever seen. Let's not kill this person, let's arrest them instead".

I'm not putting it to blame.
I'm just saying it's fucking retarded to be glad he's dead when the backlash will just be worse.
And the fact that they did it after the Taliban said that they'd start a nuclear war if Bin Laden was killed? Genius.

Herson Madrid's picture

@ Matt.

Homophobia?... Bad example.
But I see what yur saying.

I just feel that you (or anyone else) Saying stuff about the situation, or how he (Bin Laden) was killed, when, why... Whatever...
No longer matters to anyone. He's gone, done, FINISHED.
Now the Military needs to worry about the people who are being fucking Idiots trying to retaliate. It's not the United States fault for killing Bin Laden. Nor is it the people's fault for celebrating in the streets the day it happened. The people who are at fault is Taliban.

MidnightFelicis97's picture

@Herson
Things will only get worse from now on. There isn't an end I can see that will cause it to end quietly. It just won't happen.

So I should just stop having opinions about things because they don't make a difference in the long run to the "important people".

I think homophobia's bad. Next time someone mentions beating on a gay person I'll just let it slide.
That what you're saying?

No, of course not.

Muhahahaa's picture

I guess it'll get worse.

renegade_rach's picture

They haven't solved anything. What if someone takes his place? Personally I think they may have made things worse.

Herson Madrid's picture

Lmfao!!!
I have no idea what to say to this.
So for now I laugh XD

1 thing I will say is that, when this war first started and the United States said they were going to arrest or kill him. Later Al Qaeda (or however it's spelled) responded saying that if he was killed or captured they would respond in nuclear warfare.

at this point win loose situation nothing could be done to prevent it. I feel like we should just drop it at this point because no ones opinion on this site across the United States or across the world matters, The United Nations is going to do what they want. No what I, Or you think.

Like I said For now I laugh :)
Lmao!

EvWsox,
Theres nothing wrong with it, just an observation.

@M|atthew

i wasnt trying to tell you what to do. all i said was that if you are that upset with how things are run, you may want to think about trying to change them. and i dont think thats a bad thing. i greatly respect anyone who tries to make a difference in the world. but a also respect your wish for a quiet life and your enjoyment of debating. i hold those things as well.

i do however believe there are 2 good arguments for whether he should have been killed or not. i just agree with the one that says it was a good thing that we got him. i think people were just so relieved and yes, happy that we did SOMETHING to the man responsible for 9-11. if we had captured him i think people would have reacted almost the same exact way. its just closure and relief for many many americans.

I am pretty sure that his family knew that he was a terrorist. And it's not just D.C. that is in trouble, It has been the whole world, pretty much.
Even his own people.

jbanana13's picture

I don`t know why people think that it is 100% good that he is dead. There are all these good and bad things of this situation and in my opinion its only going to get worse.

Hallelujah_6's picture

I don't know, it's good and bad. Of course there's gonna be retaliation, and more lives lost, which is horrible. But when you receive information that the head of the terrorist organization that orchestrated an attack on your country that killed thousands of people, are you supposed to just not do anything?

MidnightFelicis97's picture

@EvWsox
Because Bin Laden wasn't just anyone. He was the organiser of it all. The leader of Alqaeda and the main reason for the war.

They're a group with many plans and many back ups. They've already got a new boss and by the looks of things Bin Laden's son's somewhere high up in the ranks.

"why don't you grow a pair etc"
^ That statement mainly because I want a quiet life. I don't desire much more than to do what I do. Things do bother me and I will criticise what's going on in the world but hey, I can't say I'd be able to do better in the long run. The blatently obvious things like killing Bin Laden however was a bad call. Completely.
I enjoy debating. I'm 18 years old and I have next to no aspiration and I'm happy. Fuck off with telling me what to do, yeah?

@Nerdy
Mhm. Your country's going to go into overdrive in september :/

Emicia's picture

This is only going to get worse.

and whats wrong with that? :)

EvWsox,
Spoken like a true right right right wing Republican.

and when obama made his speech on tv, it looked so fake. -__- :/

whatever dude. i don't know about everybody else but im tired of arguing about this. whats done is done and i just want to move on. but its not like we just cant kill enemy combatants for fear that the enemy will get mad? i think the people that are killing in the name of bin laden now are just doing what they did when he was alive and just saying they are doing it for bin laden. we are at war, and war is an ugly thing. get over it. if you always so mad at whats going on in the world why dont you grow a pair and run for an elected office, or join the military? i would stand behind you if you did that. people need to stand up and change things that they dont like instead of just debating people about it on a band website.
