people don't know what to call me. i'm a band geek that will start singing beyonce songs to the top of my lung in the hall with my friends one second and then the next be singing a paramore or MSI song or whatever band. we listen to so much music that most people cant keep up, and we don't try and help them keep up. i wear converse, but i also wear adidas, flip flops and bowling shoes (sometimes even house shoes). i'll wear a band tee one day and the next wear a sweater vest. i was called emo and all that bullshit in 8th and 9th grade, but then people got to know me and don't know what to think. i like that i cant be put into a category by people that know me. as for people who judge just by knowing one stupid piece of information about you, who cares what they think?!

:D i was called by now: punk and emo which is really funny for me ...especially the punk thing...people think if you wear converse or vans combined with hoodies and that stuff you are a punk....and if you have a different haircolour ohhh my god :D ...and if you listen to music like paramore everbody thinks you are that emo/punk/ girl :D ....if you don't listen to house or hiphop or something like that you are really different....^^...but i don't care what people think it's always really funny for me

It's sad, confused and possibly quite lonely people who call normal people things like that! I get that rubbish every now and then - and I mean from full grown 'adults'!
In a wierd way, it brightens my day because I just laugh about it xD

Paramore isn't emo. i get labeled emo for looking like a punk i hate it i dont even look emo

i`m told i need to find a "happier" and more "up-beat" band to be obsessed with they say it`s bad for me to listen to songs of sadness and stress constantly i yell at them and say "have u even ever heard their music?" like seireously paramore has sad songs,stress-y-is songs,luv songs,and happy up-beat songs just like any other artist like every singer/band has plenty sad songs but u don`t go on calling them emo

Yeha....all the girls in my class (the 7th grade only has 12 ppl, 5 are girls) call me that. they dont even know wat EMO is. They think it is cutting and hurting yourself. Nobody in my crappy private prep school has nay taste in music. It so annoyin. They dont know wat somethin is, yet they go around callin me it. I dont take it in though, cuz wat use is it. I dont care wat they say bout me, i got real friends elsewhere. Those friends know music.

Yeah...alot of my friends call me emo coz i listen to rock music..i get really annoyed over that...just coz they dont listen to rock music they think that ppl who does are emos..i think its just stupid..O.o

Same as Beth, I get called mosher a lot, guess it's true though. I'm not a typical mosher stereotype though, I'm also incredibly geeky :)

I get called mosher a lot. They think it's an insult, when, although i don't like stereotype, its what i would fit into sort of anyway. I take it in my stride and ignore them, it just proves who's closed minded and who my real friends are, because most of my friends are the total opposite of me. They need to grow and realise it's not the end of the world if im different to them

I am into any music to be fair haha, and there are PLENTY of Paramore fans in my school but i have been classed as a 'mosher' or 'emo' because I listen to Paramore and other bands similar off other people who live in a box, they just need to grow up to be honest! :)

i totally agree. i mean paramore is like the furthest thing from emo you can get. like for example the only exception, and the video? they've nearly turned pop now!
