because they don't know the correct definition of pop.

yeah because they are stupid and some people say that they are emo -.-
Paramore is Rock or Punk-Rock

Because people are not used to a girl as a singer in rock bands, that's all I think.. Paramore is not pop.

i dont think paramore is pop at all. pop to me is taylor swift, miley cyrus, lady gaga and other crap. everyones gonna have their own opinion on what genre paramore is, but i say they arent even close to pop, but rock/alternative rock.

I am indignant, when Brick...name pop hit!!!!!!! it's used for setting fire rock-song!!!! it's awfully!!

I see them as pop/rock but it doesn't really matter what genre they're classed as because they make awesome music! :)

i know it's a bit annoying...they listened to one song and say oh hmmm that's pop....this whole prejudgment thing is so stupid...but hey there are always people who don't know anything ..we should let them think whatever they want ..we know the truth^^

i agree with bethwasbornforthis people are gonna have their own opinions but i don't think they're pop at all

I know! and some people think Paramore is a girls band which it isnt all. I'm a boy and I like Paramore! Don't hate. =)

part of the reason is media, attention, people thinking their over-rated, and not being emo enough, or classic rock or metal enough.
I don't find paramore too pop-punk. That genre to me is boys like girls, blink-182 and some others. paramoer has something different. i feel alternative is more accurate.
but like javaChip56 says it dosen't matter to me. people suck anyways :P

definately not pop too many instruments going on && lyrically not like pop music && hayley's voice isn't pop like so yea pretty much people talking bs. paramore are more alternative, pop punk, etc

dunno..for me it wouldn't matter if they're pop, punk or alternative..it's really difficult to find some band who has some vocals who can really sing..i don't like bands with male vocals and scream like girls..
